stellafane: Friday Fotos - Your destination is on an unpaved road

Team Zuhl took a road trip. We're on a very remote mountain called Breezy Hill in Vermont on an astronomy weekend. We'll be attending a telescope convention called Stellafane. This is something we do nearly every summer.(Here is a blog we wrote about Stellafane in 2013. And here is one from 2012.) On the way, we stopped in Connecticut at a rest stop and saw these awesome rock echoes.

Ahhhh! The day we've all been waiting for, Ladies! It's National Men Make Dinner Day! This official holiday is celebrated on the first Thursday of every November, although when men realize how sexy we women find it when they cook dinner, it could become a much more common occurence - am I right, Girls?
To be fair, Wayne cooks dinner pretty often. To celebrate National Men Make Dinner Day, I thought we'd share Wayne's famous Chicken Waynbo recipe which is designed to feed 30 people. I don't know why men's recipes are designed for crowds, but this one is a … (9 comments)
stellafane: Weekend in New England

We took a trip to New England this weekend – many of you know that our daughter is a student at UMass and we spend lots of time with her and with our telescope-making friends in Vermont. In fact, we wrote about our trip to the annual telescope convention last summer. October is prime foliage season. Connecticut is still pre-peak, Massachusetts has maybe another week to go, but Vermont was fantastic. We paid a visit to one of our favorite spots – Stellafane. Active Rain's Wordless Wednesdays inspired me to take this photograph this morning. We're on a little trip north - this is the view west from Breezy Hill in Springfield, Vermont, where will will be participating in a telescope making convention called Stellafane.
Don't you worry, though.
