Troy, Michigan - January was a terrible month for business. We're already into the new year and January has zipped by. Most of the people I know ran in circles trying to keep warm and cancelled all their appointments. I haven't had a month like this in 2003 when we went through a terrible recession and went to war. Sorry to be so bleak but I have to ask you something.... I hear a lot of positive people talking about a housing boom in Michigan. The market in Michigan is interesting. A lot of designer homes sit empty as people continue to move out of the state. These mansions sit along in silence waiting for the right buyer. But not all of the homes are of designer or luxury level. Many smaller homes, (some from foreclosures) are for sale too. You can find some incredible deals on the market today that you usually cannot find under any other conditions.
