search engine optimization and marketing: Has Social Media Failed Us? Or Not? - 03/04/20 11:11 AM
Hey there -- its been a long time since I came on here and writen anything. I have been through this period of inefective meetings and breakfast clubs and insincere communication. I blame myself and from steering away what works. Its amazing to me to see this happen despite all the progress I made on the web when it wasn't really a "thing".

Now that we have social media I see a lot of problems come from companies that are conected yet facing a real disconnection. What I mean by that is many of your top social media sites are that they … (0 comments)

Click on any link on this page and it will take you to multiple page 1 results... Its pretty impressive. This site has gone through a lot of revision and has been tweaked over time to get these results. http://www.1hydroponicsgardeningmichigan.org/keywords This particular site is for a retail store but it can be created for real estate as well. search engine optimization and marketing: Understanding Web Traffic: What To Watch Out For - 02/14/11 11:58 AM
WHAT IS TRAFFIC EXACTLY?
What is web site traffic and what does it really have to tell us? You know the first thing you always hear is that free web traffic is never really free. You have to pay for this one way or the other. Either you can do press releases or articles or get some pay per click traffic. This is either going to cost you time or money or both.
Here are some things you will want to keep in mind......
BOTS - The bots issue is something to watch  out for. These are little spiders that crawl … (4 comments)

search engine optimization and marketing: MLS Accessibility - and the 50% Loss Rule - 11/28/10 05:48 AM
It is said that most online visitors leave after reading the first page of your website. Some experts place this number up to 50%. Thats a lot of traffic. From there the numbers get divided even smaller. As the online searcher goes through your site even more people leave after seeing 2 pages or 3 pages worth of material.
What has been your experience with MLS sites? There are a lot of directories out there but they ask for so much information up front, (with multiple menus) it is hard to believe that these are succesful websites.
Forms are really tricky. … (7 comments)

search engine optimization and marketing: STRONGER THAN DIRECT MAIL..... !!!! - 11/18/10 02:02 PM
This statement is bound to get me some serious hate mail, but I will brave on....I want to talk today a bit about collapsed media channels. There are some that seem really obvious such as newspapers. There are other media channels that have taken a serious hit lately such as direct mail.I would also like to add to that list.....
Email - I usually read one or two emails and then throw the next 50 away. Because we are so bombarded with email I hardly ever take this media channel seriously. I feel that it has run its cycle and many … (3 comments)

search engine optimization and marketing: The Same Web Template You Use -- Sells...... LIMOS !!! - 11/18/10 01:45 PM
i SAW SOMETHING i COULDNT BELIEVE recently.......
I found this great real estate group that was doing some promising things in the community. They were selling green buildings and creating green business environments. I liked the site, it seemed tight and I mentally filed it away with no concerns.
Now that was about a good 6 months ago. Recently, I stopped by to check on them again and I noticed  something really wrong this time around. This website was a template and I had seen it before. You'll never guess what this site was selling -- LIMOUSINE RIDES !!! The only … (1 comments)

search engine optimization and marketing: Dude, Its 2010, and Your Site Is Still Terrible.... - 10/13/10 09:52 AM
Today I want to address EGO, (YES... I know... Everybodys Got One)....I coached a prominent business owner two years ago, back in the winter months of 2010 and showed him what to do on his website. Our combined intention was to bring in more customers....Sadly, he didn't implement a single strategy. Its 2010 - and he has 260 links..... and is a Global Corporation.... Now I see this sort of thing occur every once in a blue moon and sometimes the company actually does quite well. But in this case, the owner was trying to convince me that he was pulling in … (0 comments)

search engine optimization and marketing: SEO Ready Made Sites - An Idea That Had To Be - 09/30/10 06:43 AM
IS REAL ESTATE SEO TOO CONFUSING?Creating a course in search engine optimization was easy enough. But getting professionals to implement all of the great ideas has been challenging. Of course having a good understanding of how search engines and websites work is part of the equation.I recently, created a template real estate site that was sold along with my courses that made things simple. I collected important data about the homes that were for sale and what key phrases mattered most to the agent or agency and then wrote all of the code for it so Google would take notice....

search engine optimization and marketing: Careful How You Bulid Your Site -- Avoid This Blunder..... - 09/26/10 05:09 PM
My weekend was a total headache.....A colleague had me review his website. He wanted me to fix it, give it the proper SEO google treatment etc. When I looked at his site it was OK. Then I looked a little deeper and saw the problem up close......This guy had named every webpage the same name... Every title of his pages were exactly the same. There were about 50 pages on this site. This is where it gets even more interesting. This site was built by some guys in India.... Im sure they meant well but from a search engine standpoint this … (1 comments)

search engine optimization and marketing: Are You Showing Off Enough Of Your Properties On The Web? - 09/20/10 06:32 AM
What does it take to get a sale?  How much house do you have to show to land the deal?Don't you hate it when you list a house on a web site and there's a limit on how many photos you can use? Its like the old film line, "all my best scenes end up on the cutting room floor?".A lot of services will only pick maybe 4 or 5 of your best photos when you list your home. You may have like 20 shots that you want to share with the public. But the guys who run these sites will … (0 comments)

Get The Search Engine Directories To Get Curious About You(Instead of Vice Versa)Do you ever get tired of chasing after search engines ---  Googling your own popularity on the web is becoming an obsession for some businesses. Terms like "link juice" have their merit. But getting the big guys to take notice of you can take some time.
I just got a course from the UK about how to get on authority sites. Not a lot of meat in there. But there are a few highlights that make it somewhat worth reading. Its definately for people who have their feet wet … (1 comments)

search engine optimization and marketing: Is Your Website Loading Fast Enough? Google is Watching - 09/06/10 04:26 PM
** For months, I wondered about this -- and apparently its TRUE! With the invention of Google Caffeine, it appears Google is really counting which sites are fast loading and which ones are not.....Here is the official verbage....
After Google started using website speed as a parameter in their ranking algorithms every webmaster has a good reason to keep an eye on the page load speed of their website. Google's bending over backwards to spread the word about this new speed penalty is proof in itself since big G is usually very secretive about pending algorithm changes.
From the announcement we … (3 comments)

search engine optimization and marketing: Becoming a Real Estate Authority Site on the Web - 09/02/10 12:37 PM
WHAT IS THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN YOU AND YOUR COMPETITION?
Ugly sites are in - there is no question about it. They're every where. The interesting thing about the web and search engines like Google is that they are looking for content that it can grab and index. This includes keywords that are placed on your pages and meta tags, and in other areas. It doesn't matter how slick your site looks or how much java script drop downs you have in your nav bar. Although these things look pretty its not enough to get the attention of the search engine bots. In … (1 comments)

Im going to bed so I'll make this short.

TIME : 3 MINUTES -- The experts say only keep it three minutes. I like these numbers instead. I prefer to shoot in 3, 5 and 7 minutes.....  You can go 10 if you are really interesting and people will watch them. But for the most part stick to 3,5,7.
TAG YOUR VIDEO WITH YOUR WEBSITE: The description section in your YOUTUBE upload section should have the following.
