The Federal Reserve announced last Wednesday that it would begin decreasing its purchase of non-traditional assets aimed at stimulating the economic growth beginning in Janurary 2014. The Fed will decrease it's monthly purchase of Treasuries and mortgage-backed securityies by $10 Billion, to $75 Billion per month. Chairman Bernanke made it clear that the Fed's easy money policy would continue beyond the previously indicated threashold of 6.5% unemployment.
