denver home staging: I Loved Staging this Circa 1904 Brownstone, Row-house Townhouse - 05/05/13 01:23 PM
This is a great, turn of the century (20th century that is) brownstone row-house. This should go quickly. I love the exposed brick, the original wood floors and the original hardware on the doors.  It also has 3 bedrooms and a bath on the 2nd floor.

Nice, open concept living room/dining room.

denver home staging: Just staged a great 3 bedroom 2 bath home in East Denver. - 12/14/12 01:21 AM

I recently staged a very nice, vacant 3 bedroom investor property in Denver. It was really fun doing this property. The finishes were great and the layout of the home was fun to work with.  If you are interested in viewing it in person, it's located at 5565 E. Atlantic Pl. in East Denver.

denver home staging: Helpful Hints for Selling Your Home - 08/17/12 02:27 AM

Thinking about putting your home on the market? Then here are some hints for you.
1. The very first thing that potential buyers see is your front yard.  If you do nothing else to prepare your home, get the front yard in shape. Keep the lawn mowed, leaves raked or sidewalks shoveled, depending upon the season. Make sure your trees and shrubs are neatly trimmed and flower gardens weed and leaf free. If it is spring, summer or autumn use colorful potted flowers to add interest and warmth.  Make sure your front door is welcoming. Painting the door a pleasing, contrasting … (2 comments)

denver home staging: A Great New Property Staged and Ready for Sale at 2933 S. Sherman St. in Denver, CO - 09/29/11 05:33 PM

We just recently finished staging a new duplex.  It is a "scrape" in a nice older neighborhood.  The homes is a manufactured or prefabricated home.  It was manufactured in Minnesota and then shipped to the build site as a set of  "boxes".  The "boxes" were then unloaded and reassembled.
It's just amazing! Everything in the home was already there.  The flooring, the cabinetry, plumbing, etc.  The place looks great and it's perfect for those up and coming 30 somethings looking for their first or even second home.  It has 3 bedrooms, 2 1/2 baths, a full basement and a great roof … (6 comments)

denver home staging: Help, I Just Stepped Out of My Comfort Zone! (AND You Can Too) - 09/22/11 07:39 AM
We have begun work on the little bank owned property we recently purchased.  The poor thing was Stuck In the Eighties!  Including 80's carpet, 80's paint and 80's cork and mirror walls (all appliances were missing but I'm pretty sure they would have been eighties too).  We gutted everything.  Unfortunately, the wall with the cork and mirrors didn't fare so well and we had to remove and replace the drywall.
The wall turned out mostly OK, but there were a couple of lines where the drywall met that we didn't get quite right.  So rather than having to redo it, I decided to … (4 comments)

denver home staging: Imitation - the sincerest form of flattery! - 09/01/11 04:09 PM
I had a home that I had recently staged sell.  Unfortunately the Realtor failed to notify me until 1:00 the day of closing!  I quickly rearranged my schedule and my assistant and I, with my poor 83 year old mother in tow, headed to the house.  As we pulled up my heart sank.  The new owners were already moving in.  Not your most optimal scenario.  However, my assistant and I headed up to the door, introduced ourselves and apologized for the timing.

They were a charming couple and we chatted a little as we were boxing up our staging items … (9 comments)

denver home staging: Days On Market - What Affects Them? - 08/15/11 12:58 PM
Just had one of our investors call to tell me he has sold the property we staged and we can come remove the furnishings.  In the last 2 weeks we've had 3 listings sell (go under contract) and a fourth has an interested buyer.  The first property went under contract in 7 days, the second in 29, and the last in 76 days.  This is a good sampling of Colorado Premier Staging's average days on market (currently under 39).
Why the disparity in days between properties?  Good question but one that I will just have to speculate about.  Each of … (6 comments)

denver home staging: Oh My Gosh, They Accepted Our Offer!! - 07/04/11 05:58 AM
<!--StartFragment--> My husband and I sold our home in Littleton last year; it was just too big for the two of us. We decided we wanted to take our time and find a smaller home on a smaller budget after spending some time down south.  So, last month we began looking at bank owned and wholesale properties.  The first one we looked at was a wholesale property and, based on the numbers the wholesaler gave, it looked like a good deal.  That is, until we had our realtor look at comps in the neighborhood.  So we said never mind to that … (2 comments)
