Blaine, MN | A Tale of Two Markets
While it is said that all real estate is local, the market in Blaine, Minnesota is following a pattern seen across the country, there is a discrepancy across markets. There is a continued lack of inventory in the starter homes while in high end homes there is an abundance.

The number of new listings increased a bit in Blaine, Minnesota through 2010 as did the average sales price. Blaine’s high valued home market in prices $500,000 showed a bit of movement this year and lender mediated foreclosure/short sale homes in the lower price points that worked their way through the system didn’t affect the average sales price as drastically as in the past two years. Closed sales are down for Blaine in 2010 over 2009 but real estate is continuing to sell.
