water wise temecula: Water Wise in SoCal... So what to do?

If you haven't heard yet - California is in a severe drought - and I mean it, this one we are really feeling, between only watering 2 times a week - a challenge when the mercury hits 110 more often, keeping a yard looking like it is fresh, is harder. We are bombarded daily with news of big savings, and not so much savings in some affluent areas... Oh well. What comes to mind is, what else can you do? What can I do and how do I keep my veggie garden going (hey, I like my fresh tomatoes, thank you very much).
