"WELCOME TO MY HUMBLE ABODE" I had many mixed feelings of reliving my past and going back to my old neighborhood that I knew was always considered the poor part of town, before East Providece became a city. This was called Watchemoket Point, the start of Warren Avenue right after you crossed the Washington Bridge from Providence. East Providence, known as "the gateway to the East Bay" is made up of different suburban neighborhoods, one being RIVERSIDE, RI 02915. Adjoining Riverside are the towns of West Barrington, Barrington in Bristol County (East Bay) to the south, Narragansett Bay to the west, the rest of East Providence to the north, including central East Providence, 02914 (where I grew up) and further north Rumford, RI 02916 and to the east is Seekonk, Massachusetts and the Runnings River. As of 2009, Riverside (zip 02915)'s population is 18,666 people. Since 2000, it has had a population growth of 1.18 percent.
