Located at the point where the Pawtuxet River flows into Narragansett Bay is a section of both Warwick and Cranston, Rhode Island is an area called Pawtuxet Village.
PAWTUXET  (a river and village means "Little Falls" in the native language,  the Sononoce Pawtuxet tribe, part of the larger from Narragansett Indian nation, who used the area as a feasting ground Pawtuxet Cove, and originally occupied this area.
Pawtuxet Cove, called Fiddlers Rest, meaning the resting place of ships, was a good harbor. The water was deep and Pawtuxet Neck made good protection for vessels. In 1636 Roger … (11 comments)
