A 1 1/2-ounce square of chocolate may have as many cancer-fighting antioxidants as a 5-ounce glass of red wine.  Eating more dark chocolate can also help reduce blood … (4 comments)

by The Editors of Eating Well Magazine, on Wed Apr 29, 2009 7:29am PD
I know how important it is to stay hydrated and I try to sip water all day, but sometimes I fall behind. So I also try to eat foods, such as cucumbers or strawberries, that can contribute to my fluid intake, helping to prevent the headaches and sluggishness caused by dehydration. Another good reason to eat water? Research shows that eating foods that are full of water helps keep you satisfied on fewer calories. (Interestingly enough, drinking water alongside foods doesn’t have the same effect.) This … (0 comments)

In examining peoples' Internet habits and how it affects their memory recall, the researchers found that while the Web is not exactly making you dumb, per se, people are … (0 comments)

EASY FIXES FOR YOUR HOUSE – CAN ANYONE DO IT?

OIL STAINS ON THE GARAGE FLOOR – The oldest trick in the book….cat litter! Use the cat litter to soak up any excess oil. Remove the cat litter and now you can focus on the stain itself. Combine hot water with either dishwashing or laundry detergent, making it a paste. Spread the paste with a stiff bristle brush and scrub the area, hose off and see how much of the spot you removed. Another method that can be used is using a “spray-n-wash” type product, wait about 10 minutes, mix … (2 comments)
