houses for sale in cedar city utah: Wednesday With Some Words...Zion's Majesty..... - 04/20/11 09:31 AM
I have been using a lot of photographs that Darcy and I took last weekend in Zion National Park.  To be honest, we took a lot of pictures and really didn't photography anywhere near all of beauty that is Zion National Park.  I was still not feeling 100 percent, and wasn't sure if I was recovering or getting worse, so I didn't want  ride the bus to the Lodge or into that part of Zion Canyon.
We also had planned to go to St. George, so I didn't drive up through the tunnels and to Checkerboard Mesa area.  Anyway, we still … (17 comments)

We took this photo yesterday in Zion National Park.  This is some of the housing for the Rangers and staff.  It is located inside the park's bounderies.  The house is pretty humble, but the view is priceless!

Like I said, it is nothing special.

The Views however, are spectacular!

More Views in Zion National Park

houses for sale in cedar city utah: Sunday"s Thought....... - 04/17/11 03:14 AM
After visiting Zion National Park yesterday I got thinking how easily things are taken for granted.  My Great-Great Grandfather Isaac Behunin is credited for given Zion Canyon it's name.  He was the first modern settler in that beautiful area.  The Zion Lodge is located where his cabin was originally located.
My Great-Grandfather Elijah Behunin, Isaac's son, was one of the early settlers in what is now Capitol Reef National Park.  His cabin is still located in the park.  My Grandmother was born in that small sandstone cabin. What I am getting to is that historically, my family has been drawn … (15 comments)

houses for sale in cedar city utah: Scenic Saturday...Zion National Park.... - 04/16/11 02:43 PM
Darcy and I took advantage of National Park Week and drove down to Zion National Park.  Entrance to our National Parks is free all this week.  Zion is about an hour drive South of Cedar City and one of the most scenic places on Earth.  We were amazed at how man visitors there were to the Park, so many that the Parking Lots were all full.  We didn't spend a lot of time in the Park, I still don't quite feel up to hiking around, but we did manage to take some photos.
Some of them I am going to share … (15 comments)

houses for sale in cedar city utah: Friday's Musings...... - 04/15/11 12:00 PM
This morning I went to the dentist for a filling, a root canal later, I was not feeling good at all.  I tried having the work done with just the gas and no numbing in the tooth.  To be honest, it takes several shots to get me numb enough that I don't feel what the dentist is doing anyway.  The end result was whether it was the dental work or whether I have got a bug of somekind, I have felt cruddy all day.
That is the long story getting to point of this post, I ended up taking advantage of … (14 comments)

houses for sale in cedar city utah: Thought for Thursday.... - 04/14/11 06:12 AM
I will admit some days blog ideas flow more freely than they do on other days.  I have been struggling with a blog topic.  I have been trying to find a nice thought or quote to share with you.  While reading through some quotes on the internet, I came across a quote by Mark Twain.  It was my Uncle's favorite quote, I heard him use the quote often.  Here is the quote:
"It's not the size of the dog in the fight, but the size of the fight in the dog."
My Uncle wasn't a big man, but he never … (13 comments)

houses for sale in cedar city utah: Great Movie...Soul Surfer..... - 04/12/11 10:52 AM
Darcy and I sneaked out yesterday afternoon and watched the movie Soul Surfer.  It is a great movie, with a really great message!  It is a message about hope and overcoming, but it is also as applicable to business as it is to life in general.  Many of you know the story, it is based in fact, a 13 year old girl who is a competitive surfer lost an arm in a shark attack.
The story is about how she overcame that obstacle to continue with her life, and compete as a professional surfer.  I found several things that were applicable … (20 comments)

houses for sale in cedar city utah: Monday's Thoughts...... - 04/11/11 07:58 AM
I have been sitting here in the free moments trying to digest everything that I have learned the past few weeks.  We have been on information overload since RE Bar Camp, that coming on the heels of Agent Reboot.  I know that I will need to sit down with Darcy and plan out how to implement what we have learned from these outstanding events.
Since it is Baseball Season I wanted to use a Baseball oriented quote or quotes for motivation.  Here goes:
"Don't bunt. Aim out of the ballpark."  David Ogilvy
I really like this idea, aim for the homerun, … (18 comments)

houses for sale in cedar city utah: Anticipation...How long do you wait?? - 04/08/11 01:35 AM
I have put off writing this post, I didn't want to jinx the closing.  We had a closing yesterday that was over 2 years in the making!  This isn't even a short sale!  Our buyers are a young couple that took a long time finding something that they qualified for.  Thanks to the USDA program we found them a really cute twin home.  It was an REO, but one that had not been damaged by it's previous owners.
The USDA program is one that we are using a lot in our area, it is really helping buyers get into homes.  Anyway, … (11 comments)

houses for sale in cedar city utah: Looking Forward to ReBar Camp Phoenix again!!! - 04/05/11 05:53 PM
Darcy and I are really looking forward to ReBar Camp Phoenix this Friday!  It means a long drive and a quick trip, but if it is just half as good as it was last year it will be worth it!  I have no doubt that it will be much better than that!  For those who have never attended a ReBar Camp, you should look one up!  They are amazing!  You can check the website: http://www.rebarcamp.com for upcoming events!
The best thing is that you get great training and networking opportunities and other than lodging and food for us, it is free!  … (14 comments)

houses for sale in cedar city utah: One More Thought........ - 04/03/11 04:57 AM
This is a quote by Thornton Wilder, the playwright.  It is one that I came across several days ago and have shared with some of my friends.  This is one that I use to motivate myself to find something new to learn or do each day.
"Seek the lofty by reading, hearing and seeing great work at some moment every day."
To me this means that once we stop learning and seeking higher and greater thoughts and ideals.  This is what keeps us moving forward, at least in my opinion.  We need to constantly be improving!

Sometimes what we need … (24 comments)

houses for sale in cedar city utah: Motivational Thought.... - 04/02/11 12:09 PM
I came across this great quote.  I often find it inspiring to read quotes, even when I don't particularly feel like I need any extra motivation.  It serves as a time to get my head straight and refine my focus more.  This is a great quote it is from Mahatma Ghandi.  Here it is:
"The future depends on what we do in the present."
This is so true!  We can not expect to reap something that we have not sown!  We can't wake up tomorrow morning expecting to have 6 listing appointments and 5 buyer ready, willing and able to buy … (8 comments)

houses for sale in cedar city utah: Thoughs for Saturday...What is your Niche????...... - 04/02/11 07:00 AM
What is your niche?  I am not sure what ours is, our community is a small one.  We have about 40,000 people in the area in which we work.  We sell the entire spectrum of homes and have sold multi units.  About the only thing that we haven't done nor tried to do is straight up commercial properties.  We have worked the entire spectrum of residential.
We love working with first time home buyers, but then we love working with sellers, investors and anyone else!  Darcy got into real estate as a property manager, and was very good at it.  Our … (7 comments)

houses for sale in cedar city utah: Thankful Thursday...WorldMark by Wyndham..... - 03/31/11 10:53 AM
One of the best purchases that Darcy and I have made is a time share with WorldMark resorts.  Without going through the entire concept, but what we purchased is points that can be used at resorts all over the World, especially now that they are connected to the RCI Resorts.
We have used our points the past couple of trainings that we have gone to.  It is nice not to have to pay for a hotel and to be able to stay at a comfortable room that is familiar to you.  We have stayed at several WorldMark resorts in California, Nevada, … (14 comments)

houses for sale in cedar city utah: California Dreaming in March..... - 03/28/11 09:43 PM
I have mentioned it a few times before, The C Team is heading to California.  The main reason is the Agen Reboot put on by Inman, but there is an ulterior motive as well, warm weather!  We enjoyed a beautiful day here today, no storms, but cool breezes.  We are looking forward to just being able to be warm outside, and dream of Spring!  That is the reason for leaving our beautiful Southern Utah Red Rocks, is to enjoy the warm surf of the Pacific!
We will be online from time to time to let everyone know how the Agent Reboot … (16 comments)

houses for sale in cedar city utah: Mondays Motivational Thought...... - 03/28/11 07:28 AM
I have been needing some motivation to get going today.  We spent every spare moment last week moving, this week, so far I have been feeling the move all over my body, so getting going is not at the forefront of my brain so far.  I came across this quote by Albert Einstein.
"Try not to become a man of success but a man of value."
This is key in our industry, that is our stock it trade, the value that we provide to our clients!

That is one of the issues that I know that I face, I spend … (14 comments)

houses for sale in cedar city utah: Painful Reminders..... - 03/24/11 06:44 PM
The C Team has spent every available minute this week moving into a new house.  I have many areas of my body that are painful reminders that I am not as young as I used to be!  The new place is nice, it is a little smaller, but it is newer in a new neighborhood.  As much as we loved the old neighborhood, especially the neighbors, we are looking forward to meeting new neighbors!
The best part of about the move is that it is just across town, so we can keep in touch with are friends in the Cobblecreek area!  … (16 comments)

houses for sale in cedar city utah: Worded Wednesday....Pictures in Stone..... - 03/22/11 11:15 PM
I love looking and Petroglyphs!  They facinate me, and these are the ones that probably started me on the road to this facination!  I can remember coming out to the Parowan Gap Petroglyphs as a small child.  Back then the road from Parowan was all dirt, and it seemed to take forever to get there, but it was always worth the trip!

Another Photo of the Petroglyphs

Still another look at the Petroglyphs at the Parowan Gap
