the c team real estate: Any Regrets??? No, not really.... - 06/10/14 04:46 AM
I have been asked lately if I regretted anything that I had done.  I didn't answer immediately, but it did get me thinking.  I know that I have made as many mistakes as anyone else, probably more than most, that doesn't mean that I honestly regret those mistakes.
They have made me who I am today, which is still a work in progress.  I still make my share of mistakes, and then some.  The truth is, I do regret some of the things that I haven't done.  Did I let my parents know how much I loved them before they passed … (17 comments)

the c team real estate: Book Review...Never Go Back, Lee Child... - 06/05/14 03:45 AM
Never go back is another in Lee Child's Jack Reacher series.  For those unfamiliar with Reacher, he is a hulking former Army MP who is now a transient roaming the US and solving crimes as he travels.
This particular story has Reaching being recalled for a court martial, his.  It is really a good story.  It a read that I highly recommend, along with the other Reacher novels.  I have found it easier to unwind at night when I read a couple of chapters of a good book, as I mentioned, this one in my opinion, qualifies.
If you do … (7 comments)

the c team real estate: Maybe You Should Do Some More Research...... - 06/04/14 03:44 AM
This morning I was taking a break from other work stuff cleaning up the dishes and what not in the kitchen.  My blue tooth chirps in my ear, saying that I have an incoming call.  I answer it, I mean it is during business hours afterall.
I hear, Hi Tony, I am blank from company Z, I noticed that you have several listings in the Cedar City area.  Would you like to add more marketing for those listings?  I smiled, all the while thinking, you should have done some more research, we haven't had a listing in Cedar City in about … (15 comments)

the c team real estate: Buyers Under Contract.... - 06/01/14 12:26 PM
We have been very busy showing homes to clients, I am happy to say that our efforts have paid off to the point of being under contract!  I know that there will still be hurdles to jump, but being under contract is still a great place to be!
I really believe that with patience, it is possible to find the right home for almost everyone.  We showed a lot of homes, previewed many more, and in the end, by working with our clients we were able to find what they were looking for!
Too often, I have sat through sales trainers … (5 comments)

the c team real estate: Book Review...Las Vegas Songbird... - 06/01/14 12:07 PM
I am not sure if a review is what I am doing.  On this book, I am not qualified to review.  It is a book that I wrote several years ago.  I self published it as an ebook on Amazon.  I hadn't really looked at it for a few years, so I read it again.
I enjoyed it, even if I knew the story, and there were a couple of rough patches that I would rewrite, if I could do it all over.  In all I am still proud of the result.  As I mentioned, it is only available on … (5 comments)

the c team real estate: All Gave Some....Happy Memorial Day... - 05/25/14 02:13 AM
This weekend is of course Memorial Day.  It is the day that we honor those incredibly brave and selfless souls who gave up their lives so that we can have what we have.
It is more than just a play day, although I would guess the majority of those who died would like the fact that because of their sacrifice, we are in a position to have the opportunities to enjoy ourselves and our time in recreation.
I believe that it is important for us to realize that many have given us all they had and were ever going to … (12 comments)

the c team real estate: Saturday's Photos...Why I Love Utah.... - 05/17/14 12:49 PM
I wanted to take a moment and share some of the many reasons why I love living in Utah.  I decided that rather than go on and on telling you, I would show you.  Here are a few photos that I have taken from around the State:

This photo was taken in Scipio, in Central Utah.

This was taken on Trappers Loop, between Weber Canyon and Huntsville, Utah in Northern Utah.

This was taken at Panguitch Lake in Southern Utah

This was also taken in Southern Utah, near Panguitch on Highway 89

This was taken in Southern … (29 comments)

the c team real estate: A Sunset Photo for Thursday.... - 05/15/14 12:25 PM
I have been trying to think of a great blog post to write, and I hate to admit it.  Once again, I got nothing!  So I thought that I would share another of my sunset photos.  This one is one that I took a couple of years ago, but sunrises and sunsets never go out of style!  Have a great night!

the c team real estate: Sometimes You Have to Take Charge of the Transaction..... - 05/13/14 11:42 AM
We have been searching homes for some clients of ours.  In the process, I came across a nice looking short sale property.  As I looked at, I realized how high it was priced.  This is an entry level or first time homebuyer home.
The price per square foot of this small home is 50% higher than the price per square foot of several executive homes with gorgeous features.  Not to mention every other listing in the MLS. The listing in question guessed it, 1 photo on the MLS.
There is a disclaimer saying that there are some cosmetic … (12 comments)

the c team real estate: Happy Mother's Day!!! - 05/10/14 12:31 PM
Tomorrow is Mother's Day, and I have been sitting here trying to come up with something heartwarming and profound to write.  I hate to admit it, I got nothing!
While I have been sitting here a song that was recorded by Glenn Campbell recorded, I don't remember if Steve Wariner sang it with him or not.  To make a long story short, it says it all!  The song was written by Johnny Marr:
"The Hand That Rocks The Cradle"
He got here red and wrinkled scared and cryin'Then she took him up and held him to her breastAnd he sure was glad … (11 comments)

the c team real estate: China Star Redo... - 05/10/14 08:53 AM
A few months ago, I did a series of localism blogs about the restaurants in South Davis County.  I will admit to sneaking in a few that were from North Davis County as well.
One our favorite restaurants is the China Star.  It is located at 1177 South 500 West in Bountiful.  I am writing another blog about this gem because they have been adding some new things to their menu.  Namely sushi!  I don't know about anyone else, but I do like sushi.
We eat there about once a week, it has sort become of our go to place … (5 comments)

the c team real estate: Another Photo for Friday Clouds on the Mountain... - 05/09/14 12:31 PM
We have enjoyed some great and much needed rain here today, and are expecting more rain over the weekend.  We hope that it stays in the form of rain at least!  I have been going through the photos that we have taken through the years and came across this photo.
Darcy took this photo while we were driving on I70 in the morning after a Spring storm, I thought that it was really beautiful, I hope that you like it!

I love how the clouds are hugging the mountain!

the c team real estate: Friday Photo...Sunset on the Road - 05/09/14 12:22 PM
I came across this photo of a sunset that Darcy took while we were driving down Interstate 15. It is amazing just how beautiful things are from the side of the road, or even from the middle of the road as long as you have someone who isn't driving take the picture!

I do hope that you like it!

the c team real estate: Wednesday With a few Words...... - 05/07/14 10:18 AM
Here is an old photo that I took a number of years ago in Zion National Park.  I liked it better in Black and White than I do in color, it has more of a surreal feel to it.
What do you think?

Here is another from the same trip to Zion National Park

I will say this, I really like these shots in Black and White.  Have a great night!

the c team real estate: Wednesday's Ramblings... - 05/07/14 09:05 AM
It has been a busy couple of weeks!  We have been showing homes like crazy!  This is a good thing!  One thing that we have noticed is that homes are beginning to fly off of the market!  There have been several homes that our buyers have been interested in that have gone under contract before we could either view them or put an offer together.
Some of the homes have been very good deals, while others not so much, they weren't overpriced, just priced at the top of the market so to speak.  This is a good sign in some aspects, … (5 comments)

the c team real estate: One more thought from Ms. Earhart.... - 05/03/14 12:41 PM
While looking at some of Amelia Earhart's quotes, I came across several gems, like this one that I wanted to share tonight as well.  So here is another thought for the weekend:
"Courage is the price that life exacts for granting peace,
The soul that knows it not, knows no release
from little things;
Knows not the livid loneliness of fear,
Nor mountain heights where bitter joy can hear
the sound of wings.
How can life grant s boon of living, compensate
for dull grey ugliness and pregnant hate
unless we dare
The soul's dominion? Each time we make a choice, … (14 comments)

the c team real estate: A Quote for a Saturday Night.... - 05/03/14 12:24 PM
I will admit I was scanning Facebook today, but while doing so, I found a great quote by the famed aviator Amelia Earhart.
Here is the quote:
"The most effective way to do it, is to do it."
How great is that??  It reminds me of the Yoda quote, "there is no try, there is do or not do."
I believe that sometimes we spend more time trying to figure out the most effective way to do something than it would actually take to just do it!
I am not advocating running blindly into something, rather, not allowing yourself … (16 comments)

the c team real estate: Salt Lake Comic Con....Captain Adama? Lt. Castillo?... - 05/01/14 12:51 PM
On Easter weekend, Darcy and I enjoyed the Salt Lake Comic Con Fan Experience.  I have mentioned this in another post, but I wanted to share some of the fun that we had over the weekend.  My favorite part of the event was the celebrity panels.  In this one I am featuring Edward James Olmos, I loved his description of how he began the role of Lt. Martin Castillo on Miami Vice! He was extremely engaging and nice!
This is the best photo that Darcy got of him:

What a great event!

the c team real estate: Things That You realize from your childhood.... - 04/25/14 01:06 PM
This past weekend, Darcy and I enjoyed the Salt Lake Comic Con Fan Experience at the Salt Palace in Salt Lake City.  It was a wonderful event!  If you get a chance, you should go!  A little bragging, there were over 100,000 people who attended this event, making us the 3rd largest of the Comic Cons in the United States!  One of the nice things is that many celebrities come out and set up booths to meet their fans and sign autographs and or take photos with them.
I will admit I am too cheap to pay someone to have them … (22 comments)

the c team real estate: The Sun Also Shines.... - 04/25/14 12:37 PM
We have enjoyed a couple of pretty violent storms here in Utah this past week.  Not violent like a tornado or hurricane, but still windy enough to knock semi trucks and trees over.  Today the Interstate 15 was closed for quite a while due to blowing dust and poor, (read zero) visibility in Southern Utah.  One of the forecasts that I have seen for tomorrow is calling for snow in Park City. I know, Park City is a ski town and is quite high in elevation.
It was just a couple of days ago we were enjoying beautiful Spring weather with … (11 comments)
