real estate news and questions: Widening The Funnel
- 02/13/14 10:12 PM
I received a call from a Realtor in San Diego yesterday who had just finished watching one of my training video's on You Tube. http://www.youtube.com/user/DietzTeam
This happens a couple times a week, no big deal but he wanted to know what almost every other caller wants to know when they call me; why is my approach so different than what all of the big names in Real Estate Coaching are teaching and is it really working? More on this is just a little bit but the conversation made me think of a recent meeting I had with my team (1 comments)
real estate news and questions: I'm Afraid!!!!
- 07/24/11 07:09 AM
Of all the reasons for not trying something, fear is probably at the top of the list and maybe sometimes, that's a good thing. For Example, I WILL NOT sky dive because I am scared to death to jump out of a plane and if I go the rest of my life without the adrenaline rush of jumping 10,000 feet to my death, I'm OK with that. However, not asking someone for help or not asking someone to hire you or not cold calling for a sales appointment because you're afraid of hearing no is simply unacceptable. real estate news and questions: Short Sale - Bank Owned - Conventioanl - Who Cares
- 04/16/11 08:36 AM
Who would of thought 5 years ago when we first started dealing with short sales and foreclosures that not only would they still be a part of our market but the largest part. For the first time in who knows when (now I know someone if going to respond "I've been a Realtor for 40 years and you should have seen the market in the 70's) we are selling more short sales and bank owned homes than conventional sales. My listing inventory usually sits between 40 and 70 homes and until just recently only 20% of those have been short sales. (0 comments)
real estate news and questions: Employee Loyalty
- 07/23/10 12:55 AM
The local newspaper here wrote an editorial recently stating that LeBron James free agent move from the Cleavland Cavaliers to The Miami Heat is "just another example of the lack of employee loyalty" in today's marketplace. He referenced that in times past, people were loyal to their employers and that Lebron James was somehow a bad person for taking the "free agent" offer for a better job and more pay. This struck me mainly because I also have made a free agent move recently from my previous broker to join Re/Max Realtec here in Palm Harbor, Florida. I suppose I am (0 comments)
real estate news and questions: What I Learned From Nick Vujicic
- 09/07/09 02:59 AM
I recently attended Keller Williams Annual Mega Agent conference in Austin Texas and like every year before I came away with pages of notes, aha's and action items. Education and culture are two of the reasons I joined Keller Williams in 2002 and remain an advocate today. Part of our culture is bringing in guest speakers like Nick Vujicic. When I first read the agenda for this years conference and saw that we were going to have Nick as a guest speaker I was excited because I had heard Zig Zigler speak about him and was excited to hear his story. real estate news and questions: Prospecting Vs Marketing Based Lead Generation
- 08/05/09 10:49 PM
Whether you are a new Realtor or one of those "I've been a Realtor for 30 years honey" you probably ask yourself the question at some point where is my business coming from and how do I get more. Well, the answer to this question will depend partially on who you are trying to attract and by the way the answer to that last question is a pretty important question and unfortunately one most Realtors don't ask. I'm sorry but most agents if asked the question "who are you trying to work with?" would probably say anyone that wants to buy (8 comments)
real estate news and questions: Prospecting Expireds Listings
- 08/02/09 06:42 AM
Yesterday was August 1st. So what right, well if you are a professional Real Estate Agent that focuses on taking new listings, you know that the biggest day of the month for new expired listings is the first of the month. So, on Thursday I started prepping for the big day as I do every month. Usually, this prepping time just includes getting in the right mindset to win the Expired listing game but this Month was a little different for a couple reasons. One was the first of August fell on a Saturday. Now I ALWAYS aim to be the first (74 comments)
