Philadelphia Fireworks and Celebration over July 4th Weekend!
We hope that everyone enjoys their July 4th weekend in Philadelphia!  Take a break, do not work too much (or at all), and celebrate our Nation's independence!   We left our schedule open this weekend as we take a much needed holiday from the crazy world of real estate.   And in Philadelphia, the events are unlimited leading up to the July 4th party on the parkway:

penns landing: The New Race Street Pier Brings Energy to Philadelphia - 05/30/11 01:32 AM
The New Race Street Pier Brings Energy to Philadelphia
Stephanie and I took a lovely walk to the newly opened Race Street Pier this past weekend.  Not only does it bring energy, it provides access to the River !
Before this was just a barren wasteland. Now it is a lovely, manicured, landscaped getaway of sorts: a little piece of heaven on Penns Landing where folks can walk out onto to the pier, next to the Ben Franklin bridge, enjoy a water ice, some music and a nice breeze.
It is a great addition to the City of Philadelphia !   Having … (3 comments)

penns landing: Could the "Slice" at Race Street Pier Look Like This? - 03/30/10 01:44 AM

Over the course of design meetings for Race Street Pier, more than 4,000 citizens have shared their view on what they want in a riverfront park. It's this type of civil engagement that will make the pier a truly useful addition to the cityscape.
Penn Praxis and the Central Delaware Advisory Group are working together on the project with a strong goal in mind: they want to reconnect the city to the waterfront. The design for the pier is being called "The Slice".
There are three different plans they came up with, which will be discussed at a public meeting … (0 comments)

penns landing: What's up with...Penns Landing - 03/01/10 12:47 AM

Penns Landing lies east of Old City and Society Hill, directly off of the Delaware River. The riverfront is lined with hotels, the Independence Seaport Museum, the River Rink, Dave & Busters, and the Festival Pier, among other attractions. It's only steps away from Old City and South Street. The Independence Historic Area has much to see if you are a history buff, and there are great views of the Delaware River. Columbus Boulevard is the main thoroughfare here.

penns landing: Getting to Know Pennsport - 02/02/10 02:08 AM

Where is Pennsport and what is going on there? Ask around and you will find that not many people are quite sure. Most can tell you that it's the place to go watch the Mummers Parade.
Pennsport is one of the Philadelphia subdivisions that are considered an "up and coming" neighborhood. Located just south of Queen Village from Washington Avenue to Snyder Avenue and between south 4th Street and the Delaware River, Pennsport is a fantastic area with a ton of history as a port town. Today I decided to get an inside perspective from one of Pennsport's residents, … (0 comments)

We just sold one of the condos in the Pier 3 Condominium building as settlement was this past week ! Pier 3 is located at Penns Landing, which is the most visited river front location in Philadelphia.  The Pier 3 Condos are literally built on a pier that stretches out into the Delaware River.  It offers amazing views of the river as well as the Ben Franklin Bridge.  Inside includes a 24 hour doorman, a wonderful indoor pool and a fitness center.
