I wonder if my plea will be heard...
Back in August I had a suggestion in this blog post "I have a cure for the housing market but I need your help" which stated that every realtor and seller (including FSBOs) should immediately withdrawl their listings that would knowingly never sell.  If that did happen, probably at least 10 percent of the inventory would be cleared !  That in and of itself would be a great stimulus to the housing market !

Our recent blog entry Can we gag the Media ?  Or Hang the DJ ?  struck a nerve with a lot of agents and consumers.  The post generated a lot of comments as it became a featured post on Active Rain.  Since the discussion got to be a bit heated and passionate and had similar concerns about what can the National Association of Realtors (NAR) do or what NAR is doing, it got me to thinking...

We all know that there is excess inventory in the Housing Market and until the supply / demand ratios turn all of our markets will continue to face headwinds.  Well I have the solution for a quick and fast rebound and it will not cost the Federal Government billions of dollars that they spent with the Housing Bill.
My solution is simple AND free:
Every single Realtor including myself should go through their inventory this week and withdrawl 10 to 20 percent of their listings from their respective MLS !  Every single seller who knows that they are not living in reality … (18 comments)

Every time I turn on the TV, I hear the doom and gloom of the housing crisis and the mortgage mess.  Yes, we are in it.  But what I have been hearing is how long the "pundits" are saying we will be in it.  Into the later part of 2009 ?  Into 2010 ? 2011 ?????
WRONG !!
Maybe so, if oil were to go to $170 a barrel and with high inflation, mortgage rates would go into the mid 7s.  The FED would be forced to raise rates. I was a bit worried myself that rates would climb over 7 percent with … (6 comments)
