Thanks to the tech issues with Active Rain and massive June posts & points loss, I was able to do something pretty unique in the Rain: I crossed the 1,000,000 point level for a second time this year!!! How you ask? I let a set-back become a set-up for a comeback. I didn't stop penning, posting and participating due to the loss. Setbacks are part of life, marriage, family, business, health, etc. We need time to process the 5 stages of grief that come with each: Denial Anger Bargaining Depression. I've been using the 12 week year for over 4 years. I've read the book and took the training at Buffini & Company's Peak Experience. My new one starts 8/3/2020. It's a great way to drill down only 3 goals, your most important 3 for the next 3 months. You can start yours anytime, it doesn't have to coincide with the calendar quarters because in between each 12 Week Year, you need to take at least one week off after completion to rest & recharge. IN YEAR ONE of Real Estate, I found the best business practice for working with buyers was getting them to pre-approval before showing them property or even setting up a search on the MLS for them. Then having them sign a California Association of Realtors Buyer Representation Agreement Exclusive or BRE agreement. This cements a professional relationship between client and professional and prevents unethical listing agents and new construction showrooms from poaching your buyer.
