sales: It SUCKS To Be a Top Producer... (2 of 2) - 11/13/16 07:36 AM
Yes,
It SUCKS To Be a Top Producer in a Commoditized World!
(part 1: It SUCKS To Be a Top Producer (1))

For your USP, (Unique Selling Proposition), the answer is not an adjective:
“I’m personable”,    “I make friends out of clients”,     “I’m full-service”, "I’m #1 in ____”    or    “I close 300- deals per year.” "blah, blah, blah". The answer is not your resume' or these features. Because everyone can say: “I’m full service”, “I’m experienced”, “I’m #1 in something”, “I’m friendly”, “I’m blah, blah, blah!”. More importantly, these have nothing to do with the consumers' concerns. The consumer as a priority, … (2 comments)

Yes,
It SUCKS To Be a Top Producer
in a Commoditized World!
(part 2: It SUCKS To Be a Top Producer (2))
Consumers see all sales agents and Realtors alike. They have no way of knowing our differences from the outside looking in; we all do the same thing, the same way, so why pay more fees than necessary if the results are the same no matter who you hire?

Here’s the problem with that misconception: Not all agents are created equal. Skills, training, experience, personality, commitment, communication skills specifically, tools & tech, areas of expertise, and so on. Also, homes do not have fixed prices, they … (4 comments)

Do You Suffer From Call Reluctance? Here's 40 Reasons to Call Your Database!

The gold in your business is in your database. The sold clients, the active clients, the family, friends, coworkers, businesses you patron and networking partners all have referrals for you. But here's the cold, hard truth. They are not thinking about you, your business or your need for referrals!

So, what to do, what to do? Call them! Text them, Email them. Video Email or Text Them, Post to their social media. But, you have to consistently get in front of them because you never know when they are going to run … (32 comments)

sales: Yes, I Do Work CA, NY, FL, HI & Even Canada...Tap Into My Network! - 05/30/16 02:53 AM
Because of the ActiveRain & Buffini & Co communities, I'm connected to agents in all 50 states and even Canada & Mexico! I have personal relationships with many of these agents from years of shared live trainings around the country, Meetups, one on one meetings, referrals & closed shared deals and most importantly; friendships. I also meet many online through our Active Rain Q&A and in my blog comments, as well as on the half dozen Buffini-based Facebook pages I participate in daily.

sales: I Know You Are, But What AM I ?!? - 04/09/16 01:21 PM

"To build a long-term, successful enterprise, when you don't close a sale, open a relationship."
--Patricia Fripp
I'm always amused at real estate agents that claim, "I'm not in sales, I'm in the people business!" or "I'm in the making dreams come true business" and so on. As if being a sales person is a bad thing? My friends, we are in the noblest profession there is; we are sales people, whether you want to admit it or not.
I’ll concede not all perform honorably in their sales behavior, but there will always be un-popped kernels in the popcorn bowl. There’s nothing to be … (4 comments)

sales: How Big Is It? - 04/09/16 12:31 PM

AHHHH Yeah! It's BIG!
I just finished reading two well written blogs by Mimi Foster (I recently discovered her blog so I'm on a binge right now, I know). She penned two very well thought out and detailed lists we should be relating to our clients, to validate our fees & value to them. "Not all agents will do this for you, but I will." Mr Seller & Mrs. Buyer. Please check out her blogs from October 2015:

sales: The 7 Steps To An Unstoppable Business - 02/21/16 02:35 AM
I recently attended a private training at Buffini & Company, hosted by Dermot Buffini (Brian’s brother) and his take on:
The 7 Steps to an Unstoppable Business, which was a spin on the Master Mind Summit 2015 session, that Brian Buffini taught us on originally. It’s always interesting to hear the same subject taught (and interpreted) by two different respected sales trainers. Below, I share the nuggets from my notes:
1. Love what you do for a living. You won’t love every aspect of it, but find what gets you to jump out of bed each morning, excited to “win the day” in your chosen … (6 comments)

Networking: 10 Tips to "Clique" Quick

If you are "out there" networking at different events like I do each week, you need to know how to sort, identify & qualify who you wish to meet; going from stranger to rapport in about 5 minutes... multiple times per event.
Here is what I have learned over the past 20 years of networking:

1.Be Authentic: Be who you really are. Have an agenda, know why you're there, what you want and need and who you are looking to meet on purpose. Be on your best behavior—but always be yourself.
2. Be in the Moment:Please … shut … (7 comments)

sales: Head Trash - 11/29/11 11:33 AM

A local man was walking on the beach in La Jolla Shores one early morning, he was stopped by a tourist who inquired: " What's it like here in San Diego? Are the people friendly, is there a sense of community?
I'm considering moving here."

The local replied, " Are they kind where you come from? Do you enjoy community and friendships?"

The tourist replied, "Oh no, it's miserable there, that's why I want to move. I don't have any friends and no one is friendly!"

The local said "I think you'll find the same situation … (1 comments)
