utc: Safer Streets: You Can "Fight City Hall" - 12/09/16 07:36 AM
Safer Streets: You Can "Fight City Hall" if you are polite, persistent and patient.
And, I didn't do it alone, I got help.

I recently had a local victory making our streets safer.  I rallied my neighborhood and worked with the San Diego Roads Engineering Office and our local S.D.P.D. to bring an end to near head on collisions and rear-ender accidents on our neighborhood street.

September 22, 2016, I'd finally had enough of our neighborhood's west bound traffic using our east bound turn lane as a short cut to swing into the office park in our neighborhood. Ironically I work in this same … (4 comments)

utc: They Don't Buy What You Do, They Buy Why You Do It - 11/20/16 01:00 AM
This post was born of a comment an agent friend made to me this week about "here we go again, "everyone and their mother" is getting their real estate agent license again, just like 2002." We saw a similar "Gold Rush" mentality back in the early 2000's, and so it seems the "rush" is back the last 2 years.

They Don't Buy What You Do, They Buy Why You Do It
What is your real estate agent story? Why are you a sales agent, a Realtor or a Broker?
What is your one thing? That passion that drives you to do what you do, how you … (3 comments)

utc: Breaking In Next Door - 08/16/16 10:51 PM
Have you broken into your local Nextdoor.com Neighborhood yet?

I joined mine a few years ago, it's a website that is dedicated to your specific neighborhood.  Nextdoor.com is a community chat-room essentially, where folks can ask local questions, get local crime or garage sale info, community events and yes, there's gold here too for you....people asking questions about their local real estate market or DIY (do it yourself home repairs & projects) questions.

Nextdoor.com is a FREE, it's private to your neighborhood as you have to have a physical address to join the neighborhood, and there's lots of opportunities here. From attending local events to meet and or support your … (13 comments)

utc: Do You Brag on #5 or Just #1? La Jolla Realtor Makes Top 10 - 02/03/16 06:56 AM
I was recently surprised to be notified by a friend, he spied an online article that considered me one of the Top #10 San Diego Realtors, for my work In La Jolla and beyond with my clients. I had no idea this was written. It's based on online reviews and feedback outlets for how I treat my clients. I'm quite honored.
I truly enjoy living and working in UTC/La Jolla, aka The Golden Triangle. This is where the neighborhoods of the UCSD campus, La Jolla, Sorrento Valley/Sorrento Mesa & University City all converge. It's pretty cool, at one intersection you can literally … (0 comments)

utc: A Bridge (Not) Too Far: Out & About in San Diego - 02/08/15 08:49 AM
I love discovering little tidbit historical facts, especially “local to my neighborhood” facts. It’s funny what you see and discover when you walk instead of drive. Even more so, when you leave your cell phone at home (or at least in your pocket) and keep your eyes open.

I’ve driven over this Sorrento Mesa bridge in UTC, which serves as the Eastgate Mall overpass @ the 805 Freeway (and my shortcut home), at least 2,000 times in the last 11 years of living here, in San Diego as a UTC resident. I never knew the history of it, after … (2 comments)
