New Orleans may have it's Mardi Gras, but Medford Lakes in Burlington County, New Jersey has it's Canoe Carnival and it celebrated its 75th Anniversary last (Saturday) night.The Canoe Carnival is held every year on the first Saturday in August because it was originally determined, after looking at historical records of the weather, that the first Saturday in August has the least amount of bad weather.
