It will replace Capital Health System's aging Mercer Medical Center, expand Fuld Hospital.The U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development(HUD) made a commitment to insure a loan to Capital Health System (CHS) in Trenton, New Jersey to construct a new 223-bed hospital in Hopewell Township, New Jersey to replace the existing Mercer Medical Center. This shows that the trend is still slightly downward and hopefully may be attempting to level and even soon begin to reverse direction.

The New Jersey Poison Information and Education System (NJPIE), recently released a heath alert warning of poisonings -- some leading to hospitalization and at least one death -- that have been caused by accidentally drink lamp (or torch) oil, believing it to be apple juice.According to various news sources, the people that have been poisoned ranged in age from 8 to over 80. Because the liquids appear almost identical and are often packaged similarly, it is very easy to mistake one for the other if not paying careful attention. nj: Fiscal Year 2009 Budget Approved by New Jersey Legislature

The New Jersey Legislature approved A2800, the Fiscal Year (FY) 2009 state budget on June 23, 2008. The state budget for FY 2009 is $32.8 billion, $600 million less than the FY 2008 state budget. In addition, it includes $650 million to pay down the state's debt and it does not include any increases to real estate related taxes. Once used as a water and power source and a natural highway in the days before the railroad, the Rancocas River with it's tributaries is still an important natural resource.
