I'm sure that we've all had it happen. You wake up one morning, have coffee, go get the paper, and then BLAM!, you see the "For Sale" sign in your neighbors yard...and it's not yours. Your first thought is probably one that I could not post in this blog! Then after you get over the initial shock, the head starts to spin about what could have gone wrong. The average realtor in my area is 55 and male. I do not fit that demographic. I am 39 years old and have two small children; ages 18 months and 5 years. A few months ago I posted this question to everyone and got many responses, most of which were that it shouldn't matter if the realtor was pregnant. If the realtor was good at her job, she should get the listings she was pitching to get. Well, of course that pregnant realtor was me and here's a diary of what happened. Politically Correct Question of the Day!! Let's get some honest answers. WOULD YOU HIRE AN OBVIOUSLY PREGNANT REALTOR If you ask, how pregnant? What about 8 months pregnant. I have clients who are in the planning stages for building their new house. I have helped them meet builders and look at various residential lots and wrote up an offer for them on a vacant lot. On our offer, we made sure to include that we wanted the property lines verified by the survey company. And it's a good thing we did!! Wrong Holiday maybe for this but I think all of us need inspiration every day. Here's the things that inspire me! The beautiful sunrise coming up over the top of the trees by my house. Yes, it's 20 degrees outside but if I squint from my window I can block out the frost on my lawn. Over the years, my husband and I have often thought about moving to a different part of the United States. We both live within 45 minutes of our hometowns where we grew up and neither of us have traveled much throughout the United States or abroad. It never fails that when I am browsing our MLS, I find outdated information that has been posted by the listing realtor and no longer applies. Here's a few outdated quotes and other information that I recently found; 1. Some of the pictures have snow in them! OK, I live in Wisconsin where we have winter for several months but it's now August and last time I looked, all the snow is gone! There is no excuse to have a picture of your listing with snow. I would like to know if anyone out there makes their own videos of their listings and how they do it. I know some agents are but I don't want to spend a ton of money on equipment. Basically, I would like to be able to make a video of my listings with voice describing the benefits of the property. Help! I could use some advice on how to best handle this situation. I have a seller who lives out in the country here around Eau Claire, Wisconsin. Their septic system is older but they have never had any problems with it. We made all potential buyers aware of this. some buyers just had a septic inspection done and the inspector said that the system is bad and in his opinion, is not going to last much longer.
