century 21: SNOW IN JONESBORO ARKANSAS - 02/09/11 08:14 AM
It is snowing in Jonesboro, Arkansas. This is a picture of our office with a blanket of snow. Although, several of our agents are working today the town is starting to look like a ghost town. We had our weekly Wed. morning meeting. even toured our new listings today, and one of our agents had a closing, another one just got in from showing commercial property. So you can see Real Estate is up and booming in Northeast Arkansas even with the snow comming down.

What does it take to be a winner? In Real Estate the situation is never going to be "perfect". It is never exactly as we expect it. So, we have to start being more creative in a down market. More creative in getting buyers and sellers educated about Real Estate and more creative in our marketing. Never, ever give up. Show people you do  believe in yourself. Motivated people see opportunities,  and opportunities are often what motivate people. So, as a Realtor are you motivated and creative enough to be a winner? I am taking the Century 21 class, Create 21. I must say I was not looking forward to taking it, because I felt this time of the year we should be listing and selling houses. But, my office as a group decided we should. I must say it is long days and lots of homework and I am loving every  minute of it. I am working on a website and looking for ideas as to what  has worked for my Active Rain folks. I have your basic info, but as you guys have figured out, I kinda beat a different drum. I don't like just average website  that everyone else has. Being I have a different name and like to express my personality, I really need some ideas.  This is our 2009 Homebuyers and Sellers Extravaganza that was held Sat. Oct. 10th. in our Century 21 parking lot. We all worked very hard on this project. We hope it did educate our buyers and sellers. We really enjoyed visiting with everone. Would like to thank all our lenders, title companies and home inspectors for their participation. Hope to do another one in the spring.

The Craighead county fair is this week   Sept. 21-26. Century 21 Indian Realty has a booth in the fair.  As I mentioned in the previous blog, we all  worked long hours  on the doll house to be given away.

The Craighead county fair is this week. Starting Monday Sept. 21-26 is fair week. Time for great fun, food and rides. For several years Century 21 Indian Realty has had a booth at the fair. This year as our door prize we decided to build a doll house. After many hours of glueing, painting, cutting, sanding and putting it together we have finished the doll house. I would like to know how other real estate agents feel about information boxes on yard signs. In our office some of our agents use them and others dont. I do use them, in fact several of my sellers have requested them. My idea for using a info box, is that the more information the buyers have before they call you the better. If they already know how many bedrooms, baths, square feet, and price then the buyer is informed and serious about looking. So what do you think info box or not? Last Saturday our Century 21 Indian Realty loaded up Santa Claus and our little elf Laney Gardner and headed to our local nursing home. Once we got there the staff directed us around to all the rooms. Santa and our little elf passed out teddy bears all the residents loved getting the bears and a big bear hug from Santa. Some of the rooms we visited would not let you leave they just wanted an ear to listen to them and a friendly smile. I thought of all the wisdom and great stories these folks could tell us all. century 21: SALVATION ARMY BELL RINGING JONESBORO ARKANSAS - 12/06/08 01:29 PM
The Salvation Army bell ringers officially kicked off nationwide on Thanksgiving Day and will continue through Christmas Eve. The money from this project will provide assistance throughout the year. The Jonesboro Salvation Army has started asking for volunteers to be a bell ringer for one day in December. This includes elected officials,community leaders, and businesses which include real estate professionals. It is called "Celebrity Bell Ringers" day.  I have been going to Jonesboro neighborhoods and prospecting. This is something I love to do. I find the people person I am I much rather visit you than call or send cards. I pick a pretty sunny day when alot of people are out working in their yards. I stop visit and give them my  card. I love being in their neighborhood and in their yard.
