buying: The Power and Fear that exists in all of us. Decisions have to be made - 09/03/08 02:42 PM
Recently, I was talking with one of my buyers, and although it is no secret that there are adjustments taking place in our market and everywhere else, she thought it was just the wrong time to purchase a home. The amazing thing is I really value the inner strength and decipline that this individual has.
I asked her why she was fearful and she made mention of everything from the media, to know it alls on TV.
My response?
When have you ever seen rates this good? The prices could not be better, and the selection is great. You have a … (7 comments)

buying: Hey, Pick it up Aunt Bea! Why do kids repeat things? - 06/10/08 10:29 AM
For those of you that know me you know that I have been  a divorced man for about the last nine or ten years now. Every so often I seem to have a sign go up that reminds me that I have a great accomplishment of that marriage. That being my son Spencer. There are times that kids like to repeat things just to hear themselves talk I think. Sometimes it can really can come back to haunt me as well, but in a good way.
Like father, like Son. Recently my son was riding along with my ex mother in law and … (2 comments)

buying: The Winds of Change point out that you have a chance of a lifetime in ownership! - 06/08/08 11:53 AM
Everytime I set out to purchase a property in the past one of the greatest concerns was how I was going to get my money to work for me better, and how could I get the best terms and Interest rate possible.

It does not have to be a bear to fiqure out that perhaps now is the time to sit down with a qualified broker like myself, Tom Braatz, and whether you are buying your first propertiy, your second, your Lake home, an investment, or business, and get your ideas on paper. The first step is to always write … (3 comments)

buying: Genesee Depot: Home of Ten Chimneys and the Estate of Alfred Lunt and Lynn Fontanne, stage greats - 05/25/08 11:58 AM
One of the most charming little towns in Waukesha County is Genesee Depot. This town is full of history, and was also home to a couple that help made it famous. A monument at their grave says "Alfred Lunt and Lynn Fontanne were universally regarded as the greatest acting team in the history of the English speaking theater." They were married for 55 years and were inseparable both on and off the stage.
By the mid twenties the couple were the two most respected, most popular, most critically acclaimed, and highest pay stage actors in the country. At the height of their individual careers, they made … (9 comments)

buying: It's 7 P.M.: Do you know where your Realtor is? - 05/15/08 02:21 AM
Recently, I had the wind just about taken out of my sails. I was talking to a Broker that was whining about having to present an offer. After four or five minutes of listening to him I just could not help but look at him and say "Are you nuts?".
The guy has not had a closing in over a month and a half, maybe more, and it was taking away from nothing.
I began to think about the commitment I have to this business. We seriously do have to make hay while the sun shines!
I hope I never get … (18 comments)

buying: May in Wisconsin; America's Dairyland - 05/08/08 04:25 AM
The slogan for wisconsin has long been America's Dairyland. Just take a look at any Wisconsin license plate.
May is a beautiful month with new growth taking place; the heads of flowers and plants emerging from the Earth and seeking to grasp their share of photosynthesis and photokinesis.
My personal favorite is when fruit trees such as apple, crabapple, pear, plum, pear, and cherry trees blossom. Never under estimate the tenacity of a plant. The plant will do everything it can the aaccomplish it's goal and have positive growth. This even applies to beautiful weeds.
Are you looking to grow, and possibly … (9 comments)

buying: A Happy Holiday to everyone! I hope this weekend brings peace to everybody. - 03/21/08 09:19 AM
I wanted to take a moment out as I was reflecting about all the things I should be, and must be grateful for.
The advice and friends that I have made on activerain, my customers, and clients, and my health.
It overwhelms me, and at the same time gives me a sense of serenity when people that I have not met, and people that I have forged a friendship with, send me emails, and wishes.
I don't ever know if I ever had this with the people that I am in everyday contact with.
So with that, I wanted to wish everyone a safe, … (17 comments)

buying: St. Patrick day in Wisconsin; what a approach and method towards Identity change for a day. - 03/17/08 03:52 PM
First of all, I would like to wish everyone in activerain, and the World, a Happy Saint Patrick's day.
It started early in my State. I saw a girl so drunk at noon today that she could not count her money at the register at Walgreen's. I really hoped that poor girl did not get in a car.
I saw some other guys singing Irish songs, falling over, or just about to, and they were not Irish. I think they were from Mexico. Everyone can be Irish for a day, and they sure were having a blast.
It never escapes me the impact that this Holiday … (0 comments)

buying: The lesson we learn from putting the eggs in the same basket; diversify and expand - 03/16/08 10:44 AM
Hello to all my wonderful activerain friends.
First of all; I would like to thank you for the emails and support I received from people from my Kidney procedure last week. It is done, and now I am back to being a man that has more energy than that stupid rabbit I can never seem to get off my television set when I watch something I want to.Now I can start training and putting it all together big time again.
I had some time  recently to evaluate my market, make some changes and directions that needed to be rerouted.
It would seem what was … (23 comments)
