realtors: One Week in to The New YEar: How are You Actions and Talant weighting up agains your written Goals - 01/10/09 11:18 AM
Lot of the same comments from potential sellers as well. EXpectations of what a consumer wants can be very different from what really works.
Listing  packages can be real wasy on the concumers part. The first step would be to get a package which outlined lots of material, important information, and information that will absolutely make you smile with the thought of being in the driver seat.
The next step would be to call me or email me so we can make an appointment to get your property on the market, or to have you sign a buyers agency.

realtors: Reflections On A Cold Wisconsin Day In January - 01/05/09 11:32 AM
It's another icy day in Wisconsin, and it is cold. There is this amazing tranquility and peacefulness that comes with the temperature being lower than normal. A paradox is perhaps the word I am looking for. Steam off of rivers, shimmering ice, and high sculptures glowing snow everywhere.
I left a home today of someone I had known for years in this business, in fact going back to 1986. As I left the home I started to reflect on times when I first met this couple. Younger at the time, they were married, from there had children, and now had grandchildren. It dawned … (9 comments)

realtors: October 27th: It's snowing in Wisconsin - 10/27/08 09:38 AM
I knew it was a different day today when I woke up. Granted I don't get up until 5:30 now, but I could sense today was colder and damper than the previous ones.
I took a drive down to Oak Creek to see my friend that owns Vertical Works, and talk investments with him.
This morning I saw small examples of snow in the air, but this afternoon it was really snowing, and hailing, and all the other things that make driving in snow a luxury. The visibility was awful for awhile. It has stopped for awhile until tonight. Never the … (7 comments)

realtors: The Lion and The Gazelle - 10/27/08 05:15 AM
I have been hearing a lot from fellow brokers as to how "hard" they have to work these days. These days? I would like to think that it takes sacrifices to get ahead; at the same time it not only takes a salesperson that works hard, but one that can work smart.
Work smart? Being up on technology, ways of increasing efficiency, and many other avenues can make us stand out from the rest of the pool of brokers. I use the following thought as to give a  picture as to what I mean.
"When out running the Lion it is not … (8 comments)

realtors: Tranquil Living and Great Environment! A Profile Of Sussex, Wisconsin - 10/21/08 06:07 AM
When you travel east of the Town of Merton, and the Town of Lisbon, and due north of the Town of Pewaukee is a place rich in history, and is one of the best kept secrets in Waukesha County. This place is known as the Village of Sussex.
For years Sussex was a quiet sleeper little town. The secret is out of the bag and people are discovering how beautiful this Village is, and all it has to offer visitors and residents.

The Village is generally small town in nature, yet over the years there are numerous subdivisions, … (9 comments)

realtors: Quality of Life ,Super recreation, and more: Relocating to SouthEastern Wisconsin - 10/21/08 05:16 AM
If you have ever thought of relocating make sure to check out Wisconsin.
Rolling hills, beautiful Lakes and rivers, small towns, large cities, entertainment; it's all right here.
Located in the Midwest and adjacent to water on three sides of the state ( Lake Michigan, Lake Superior, and the Mississippi river ) and with Chicago being just South, and large Cities in Wisconsin like Milwaukee, and other fine cities, perhaps a visit to Wisconsin is in order.

Please feel free to email or call Glenn Shong or Tom Braatz and their team if you would like any area information with your visit!

realtors: A charming City that thrives: A Profile of Delafield, Wisconsin - 10/20/08 07:15 AM
When one walks through the City of Delafield they immediately see that any new building has taken on a "Shaker" look, and old World charm. Some of the buildings in Delafield such as the fish hatchery and more are old, but stunning just as well.
Like Oconomowoc, the City of Delafield sits on the shores of Lake Nagawicka. Every weekend there is something going on in Delafield. bazaars, craft sales, building tours, and more.

History abounds in Delafield. Dealfield, Wisconsin was originally known as the Michigan territory.Settlers, including farmers and merchants started to utilate the … (6 comments)

realtors: Why aren't you buying a home right now? - 10/18/08 08:11 AM
It may be getting colder in Wisconsin, but the market is a hot time to buy.
I really cannot think of a better time to buy a home. The interest rates are really low, the choice of available homes is plenty, and what a better time to buy than now. If you have a job, and qualify, I would think whether you are a first time buyer, a seasoned one, or an investor, the selection is great, and the conditions just may be right.
I was telling my friend and dog Lars when he was taking me for a walk the other day that … (15 comments)

realtors: The Place of the bear. Profile of Mukwonago, Wisconsin. - 10/12/08 07:33 AM
Mukwonago, Wisconsin. A small town that has become a focal point, growth, and History (edit/delete)
In the Southern end of Waukesha County sits a magificent area known as Mukwonago. A very pleasant town and Village that retains it's charm, and small town atmosphere.
Sure, growth can be seen by all the Commercial development out by the major interstate, but the town and the Village have done a magnificent job of maintaining beautiful old buildings, charming Lakes and Rivers, nature preserves, and santuaries, and large community parks. There is also the beautiful Vernon Marsh; a true show of nature, balance, and a … (1 comments)

realtors: Using Response generated marketing can be very useful now. - 09/04/08 01:16 PM
Hello fellow activerain aficionados
To get an upper hand on response to ourselves the emergence of response generated marketing is taking off.
I thought I would share some ideas that may bring some folks more business.
Remember when you would go walk a car lot because no one was going to drive you nuts on a Sunday at the dealership?
The same approach hold true to RGM.
The placement of small ads that offer the consumer something really has worked for me.
It may be a 2 x 3 ad with the BOLD header on top that reads Warning: "Do not … (6 comments)

realtors: For most of us our kids go back to school. that's good, and it's sad. - 09/01/08 02:19 PM

My little man and I went and saw a movie  tonight called the Dark Knight. Good Movie! It was about three hours long but as the time went on I realize my little gut was pretty quiet through the whole thing.
As I was taking him back home from the cinema I realized that school starts tomorrow.
I am glad he is going into eighth grade and learns well, but at the same time a selfish thing comes over me.
I realize that when I had time during the day I could go and hang out with him, talk, and … (6 comments)

realtors: The New FHA,VA, and the great alternatives that have been always there. - 08/27/08 05:56 AM

Today, I had lunch with my charming friend, Rick Bernstein, from Mortgage Bankers of Wisconsin. As we were talking, and planning our events we were going to accomplish this year, the conversation turned to the FHA and VA loans that were out there, and what we were doing. Rick and I have decided that we were going to look into a radio show that was offered to us at a large Wisconsin radio station. As the conversation moved on we decided that we would also plan on a first time buyers seminar, a buyer seminar, an investment seminar, and … (0 comments)

You can turn around and see very famous person you can think of. Lake year even Jay Leno was a grand marshal. I … (0 comments)

realtors: It's almost time for kids to return top school in Wisconsin; Thank God - 08/18/08 01:48 PM
I have a thirteen year old son named Spencer. I do not know what happened awhile ago whether it is testosterone or just attitude, but there are times when I find my son acting bad or out of character for no reason at all. He is such a charming young man and is my greatest achievement, but lately he questions authority way too much, and debates everything I ask him. I was reminiscing about when I was a kid and the neighbor girls and I would walk three miles or so to go to elementary school. The patience one acquires is … (4 comments)
