This year the 2nd annual Preserve Jazz Festival will be June 1st at The Preserve neighborhood in Hoover, AL. We went to this festival last year and it was FABULOUS. We are so fortunate to have so many talented musicians here in the Birmingham Area. Performing Artists are Gerald Albright, Jeff Lorber, Peter White and Jeff Golub among others. The Real Estate market in Hoover remains strong with 172 homes closing in the month of August. The average salesprice was $283,008 with prices ranging from $67,500 for a 1 bedroom Condo at Four Seasons to $865,000, for a 5 Bedroom, 5 ½ Bath in Trace Crossings. Of the 172 homes, 110 were resales and 62 were new construction. Twenty Four of the new homes were in the Ross Bridge Community.
