Home sales numbers in Alabaster remained stable in February with 31 closed sales (up from 30 in January). The average sales price was $168,175 - up from 135,867 last month when we had a glut of foreclosures being purchased out of the market. Sales ranged from $65,000 for a 3 Bedroom, 2 Bath in Mountain View to $550,000 for a 5 Bedroom, 4.5 Bath new home at Sterling Gate. Currently there are 366 properties on the market. Home sales in Alabaster were back up to 54 closed sales after a drop in June 2008 to 39 closed sales. This was from a previous high of 52 homes closing in both April and May of 2008. The average salesprice was $187,378 with sales ranging from $35,000 for a manufactured home plus lot (not a typical find in Alabaster), to $409,400 for a 4 bedroom, 3.5 home in the new community of Wisteria (off 119 south of the new Publix). The average salesprice was $185,890 with prices ranging from 80,000 for a 2 bedroom, 1.5 bath townhome in Applegate to $470,000 for a 5 bedroom, 3.5 bath home in Sterling Gate.
