Trees Help Cut the Heat in THIS Home for Sale. The last few days, I have been out showing houses in this heat!! Hot and humid Birmingham, Alabama. Often my clients want to stand near the street and look back at the house, perhaps imagining themselves living there. Also, we might look at the back deck, thinking about how nice it would be to sit there after a long day of work and just relax. When this happens, I ALWAYS look for a shady place under a big tree.
