fiduciary: Thankful on this Thanksgiving
- 11/17/20 02:04 PM
Thanksgiving is that specific day and time of year we reflect upon people, places and things that have enhanced our lives over the past year as well as our lifetime. Dani & I have been through so many adventures together in our lives. Some were incredible and others were heartbreaking. We first began our real estate career together in 1996 after owning and operating a market, deli and pizzeria for over twenty years. We were forced into a new profession due to the 1994 Northridge earthquake, the recession and family health conditions which force us to end our partnership with our family. Starting (4 comments)
fiduciary: Tony Lewis CEO of NAR (in my dreams)

A Realtor is a member of the National Association of Realtors the NAR. Here are my suggestions if I were the new CEO of the NAR:
1. Standards – There should be a major change in the ability to become a Realtor. Teaching should be practical to what it takes to actual be a Realtor rather than information that will not make a person a better Realtor. All Realtors would need to have a Broker’s License within four years of being licensed. 2. Ethics – I would enforce ethics and make it easier for our real estate community to self-govern without making our (6 comments)
fiduciary: What would it take for a Realtor to get into Heaven?
- 07/11/15 10:22 AM
I was just thinking, what would God want to see in a Realtor before allowing them to pass through the Pearly Gates? I guess some of the most important criteria would be: Did you put others best interest ahead of your own? Did you show homes based solely upon the clients criteria no matter what the commission was? Did you show homes that were listed by other Realtors no matter which company or your personal feelings toward that listing Realtor? Did you work with all people that asked for your help regardless of their age, sex, nationality, religion or sexual persuasion. (6 comments)
fiduciary: Whats the difference between a Realtor and a sales person?
- 01/24/14 04:22 PM
Let's say you walk into a store, any store, and want to buy something. The person at the counter has a set number of items to choose from and their job is to sell you one of the product. Their job is to help you purchase an item that is in their market. A Realtor is a licensed professional that is obligated by law to put your best interest and needs above any and all other considerations. This obligation is called Fiduciary. This is the type of commitment that a Lawyer or Doctor has to their patient or client. Simply put (2 comments)
fiduciary: Talk about wearing 2 hats!
- 03/29/13 03:10 PM
Talk about wearing 2 hats! There are always 2 sides to a transaction and buying a home is quite different than most of them. A home seller has the goal of selling at the highest price that will give them the highest net at the closing. A buyer’s goals are quite the opposite. They wish to pay the low amount with terms that are favorable for them. The tricky part is the representation which leads to the reason for a Realtor. You see a Realtor is a fiduciary and by law must represent the highest and best interest of the (1 comments)
fiduciary: There is an Unsung Hero helping you Sell and Buy Homes!
- 04/11/12 04:12 PM
There is an Unsung Hero looking out for you! Yes a Realtor is an unsung hero. This true American Hero puts the needs and best interest of those they serve far above their needs and personal time that could be utilized sharing with their family. Selling and Buying a Home is quite an urgent matter to the person doing so. They entrust this sensitive matter in the hands of their Realtor. Keep in mind that a Realtor has a Fiduciary relationship with their clients. There are very few Fiduciaries such as a Doctor and Lawyer. This relationship holds the Realtor to (0 comments)
Real Estate in my opinion. The idea of this blog is to communicate the current state of real estate and home sales and listing information as it relates to residents of Valencia, Stevenson Ranch, Saugus, Castaic, Newhall, Canyon Country, the Santa Clarita Valley and Santa Clarita, California. This information will help people in Los Angeles, Los Angeles County and the state of California to see how homes and real estate is progressing in one of Southern California's premier communities!
