home value: Don’t cry for me American Real Estate Market! - 05/09/12 06:13 PM
Don’t cry for me American Real Estate Market!
Good Times, Bad Times I’ve seen them all.  You don’t owe me anything  and I owe you and on you quite a bit!  It seem like ownership was a marriage made in heaven and wind would always be behind my sails.  But just like a marriage, rocky times are inevitable.  It takes hard work, dedication, loyalty and an enormous amount of luck to save a marriage as well as a home.
Timing is everything in life and just like the wind behind our sails there are things that are out of our … (2 comments)

home value: Winter Red Light, February to March Yellow Light & Easter Green Light! - 04/08/12 05:36 AM
It doesn't really matter too much whether in the freezing weather of New York or the Mild Winter of California, buyers buy less in the Winter in all parts of the Country.  This is just a tradition and the light turns Red after Halloween until after the first of each year.  Savvy Buyers do come out and test the waters once February begins.  More and more of them will make offers and this kind of set up the Yellow or Amber Light of buying.  This Season, just like a yellow lignt, warns that the next step is about to arrive.  It … (0 comments)

home value: What makes a great buyer's agent? - 03/08/12 12:54 AM
What makes a great buyer's agent? (My answer on the Trulia website)
The question refers to "Great" not Good buyer's agent and there is a major difference. A great agent, just as a great buyer's agent, is born not made. Selling can be taught but taking care of other's needs above your own is in a person's blood and DNA. One of the first lessons a Realtor should learn is that "no one cares what you know until they know that you care"! Expressing this in a manner that is believable is an art. Once a Realtor has the belief of … (0 comments)

home value: Home Owner's Association Benefit Home Owners in many ways! - 08/17/11 06:20 PM
I am a Realtor in Santa Clarita, California.  Our community has been established from the 1960's with home owner associations at it's core.  Our community continues to grow due to our location, safety record, cleanliness and incredible school system.  Six Flags Magic Mountain was built in Valencia, California a part of the Santa Clarita Valley in order to promote new homes being built in the 1970's.
These new homes had low cost, high amenity Home Owner Associations.  The Valencia area is one of only 3 preplanned communities in Southern California.  The idea was to bring the community together and also set … (1 comments)

home value: Buying a Home Just Got Better! - Tony Lewis * RE/MAX of Valencia - 06/08/10 07:51 PM
June '10 Newsletter to my clients and friends!
Hello,
I'm a half full kind of guy!  The end of the Federal Tax Credit along with the combination of the Stock Market Dip & European Crisis has opened the door for Buyers to continue to take advantage of extremely low home prices along with Historically Low Interest Rates.  I have been updated that there should be a short term lull as the tax incentives run out.  Expectations are that the home sales will continue to recover without need for any additional stimulation.  Homes sales are expected to increase in the second half … (0 comments)

The idea of this blog is to communicate the current state of real estate and home sales and listing information as it relates to residents of Valencia, Stevenson Ranch, Saugus, Castaic, Newhall, Canyon Country, the Santa Clarita Valley and Santa Clarita, California. This information will help people in Los Angeles, Los Angeles County and the state of California to see how homes and real estate is progressing in one of Southern California's premier communities!
