Thanksgiving is that specific day and time of year we reflect upon people, places and things that have enhanced our lives over the past year as well as our lifetime. Dani & I have been through so many adventures together in our lives. Some were incredible and others were heartbreaking. We first began our real estate career together in 1996 after owning and operating a market, deli and pizzeria for over twenty years. Are you thinking of signing a lease rather than buying a home? Stop! Read this before signing on the dotted line! Times have changed and the fear of a 40% market crash have all but disappeared. Fear of loss is outweighed by personal and financial benefits. Why did the real estate market crash in 2006? It was political and both parties were to blame. political: FHA Spot Approval coming back?

Good news for Realtors, lenders and condominium unit owners who’ve been frustrated by FHA’s prohibition of “spot loans” in developments that haven’t obtained certification: The agency is now seriously exploring how to relax its ban and bring them back. Officials are mum on the details and timing, but they confirmed to me on Friday that reviving this key financing option is now under active study. The main reason: FHA is under growing political and trade group pressure — NAR and the Community Associations Institute especially — to do so.
