real estate: Are We in a Real Estate Bubble? Prices on the Rise Few Homes For Sale - 02/06/21 09:17 PM
Dear Friends, Family & Present and Past Clients,
It has been quite a while since our last Newsletter due to the uncertainty we have been facing due to rising prices and Covid-19 concerns.  A bubble can burst instantaneously once prices surpass value.  This is evident in the stock market with what happened last week with Gamestop.  However when it comes to home values the value is based upon the prices that a willing seller and able buyer agree upon.  The value has nothing to do with real value, just perceived value.  There are too few homes for sale for the amount of … (3 comments)

real estate: Election 2020 Is it time to sell? - Summit Real Estate Group - 07/23/20 09:47 AM
Dear Family, Friends & Clients,
There are three main reasons that a home doesn’t sell within three months at this time. Two are avoidable and I can solve the third one. The number one reason by far is not listing the home at a price that will bring in the maximum number of highly qualified buyers. The second is not having a quality Virtual Tour and Photos. The third is not hiring an Experienced, Knowledgeable, Professional Local Realtor. We have been listing and selling homes since 1996. We know that reaching our fellow Realtors is the key to bringing in the most … (6 comments)

real estate: Looking towards the future, Tony & Dani Lewis Summit Real Estate Group - 05/02/20 09:08 PM
Friends, Family & Clients,
The future is uncertain due to the pandemic and home sales in California will most likely fall due to the corona-virus. However, home prices may stay at or near current values or even rise due to significantly lower interest rates. Stock prices and economic uncertainty is a cloud hanging over all of us. Our hope is for a V or U-Shaped-Recovery. Each day, week and month ahead will inevitably lead to significant changes. People returning to work, stay at home order ending and returning to a more normal and stable life will give all of us much needed … (1 comments)

Friends, Family & Clients, Consumer confidence is being impacting as panic has taken a grip on society.  Fear is warranted and real.  Future Generations will look back at this time as our version of the Roaring 20's.  This Pandemic will be recalled in the same manner as the Spanish Flu.  The Major Affects will impact us for four to six months and gradually cooler minds will prevail.  The Stock Market will recover, grocery shelves will be full again, people will be able to meet in large groups and sporting events will brings us all back together cheering and booing our favorite or … (4 comments)

real estate: What Dave Ramsey (Debt Free Guru) won't tell you. - 01/12/20 06:50 PM
The quickest and safest way to become a millionaire is through home ownership. The secret to becoming a multi-millionaire is by getting into debt. The reason is simple. It is called leverage. We can buy a primary residence of $500,000 with a $15,000 down payment. Real Estate in California traditionally appreciates around 6% to 7% per year. This is a great return on your investment. However, that is not the benefit. Consider that you have only invested the original 3% your return over ten years may rise to well over $250,000. This is a return of about 17 times the original … (5 comments)

The News and Media will continuously bombard us with information about the slowing real estate market. This slowing is due to this annual phenomenon.

“Accept what life offers you and try to drink from every cup. All wines should be tasted; some should only be sipped, but with others, drink the whole bottle.”
A Quote by Paulo Coelho writer of "The Alchemmist"

Our local real estate market has taken a breather due to the rising interest rates and uncertainty with a potential trade war. The Stock Market has been turbulent and home affordability has continued to drop.
You might think that this indicates the bursting of a … (2 comments)

Steering (an unlawful act when performed by a Realtor)
The process whereby builders, brokers, and rental property managers induce purchasers or lessees of real property to buy land or rent premises in neighborhoods composed of persons of the same race.
Steering is an unlawful practice and includes any words or actions by a real estate sales representative or Broker that are intended to influence the choice of a prospective buyer or tenant.
