We haven't faced a real estate market like the current on in the Spring & Summer of 2021 since 2004, 2005 & 2006.  In 2004 price raised by 24 %, 2005 22 % and 2006 18 %.  Following these increases prices plummeted by 45-50 %.  The lending conditions are much different at this time as most homeowners are well qualified and have a large amount of equity in their homes.  The "Liar Loan" have virtually disappeared and lenders have been much more diligent about qualifying their customers.  People also have a much higher down payment in most … (1 comments)

The stock market remains on fire while the real estate market seems to have run out of gas. Home prices have levelled off and price reductions are running rampant. The Santa Clarita Valley is made up of six areas which include Valencia, Stevenson Ranch, Saugus, Castaic, Newhall and Canyon Country. America is doing well and our real estate industry is flourishing.  This is a great time to stop party politics and give credit where credit is due.  President Obama inherited an atrocious economy and real estate market.  Things were spiraling out of control.  The plans that were implemented saved the auto industry, lending institutions and most important to many of us on Activerain, the real estate market.

Whoever shows the house gets the commission. We don't get paid unless we close escrow. Ask your agent not me. Tell them at the Open House you have your own agent. There are many things we know as Realtors and are unknown to the general public.  It is our job and responsibility to educate the public instead of knocking them for not knowing how we work.
It seems to me that many if not most Realtors aren't aware that the way we work is common to us but unknown to the general public.
