Thanksgiving is that specific day and time of year we reflect upon people, places and things that have enhanced our lives over the past year as well as our lifetime. Dani & I have been through so many adventures together in our lives. Some were incredible and others were heartbreaking.
We first began our real estate career together in 1996 after owning and operating a market, deli and pizzeria for over twenty years. We were forced into a new profession due to the 1994 Northridge earthquake, the recession and family health conditions which force us to end our partnership with our family.

This past year has brought many significant changes to our local real estate market. Interest rates have risen by nearly 1% as the Dow Jones Industrial Average has risen by as much as 3,800 points. Unemployment has dropped to as low as 3.7% and home prices in many areas are up as much as 10%.
Our local real estate market has taken a breather due to the rising interest rates and uncertainty with a potential trade war. The Stock Market has been turbulent and home affordability has continued to drop.

There seems to be differing views of what is right or wrong when it comes to the real estate market. Ask someone if they like rent control and the answer from home owners and investors is polar opposite from those that are not home owners. Rent control makes owning an investment property a bad investment. Take the career of a Realtor such as us. We have no pension and could never survive on savings or social security so we have invested in rental properties as a way to secure our financial future. Easter in on April 1, 2018. This is the holiest day on the Christian calendar. Most people would think Christmas was the holiest day for Christians. Easter is to Christians the proof needed of the Divinity of Jesus Christ.

Dani & I are proud to be Americans. We can't imagine the amount of pain and suffering our fore fathers endured for our freedom. I am a Vietnam Era Veteran and fought to keep America Free and to earn the right to stay in our wonderful nation. I was in the lottery and drew number 66 out of 366. Since then we have had an all volunteer military which is most often manned by many that are looking for a better life.
