True story: When we first moved into our special community here on Hutchinson Island, we met our next door neighbor who suffers from acute asthma. She is unable to walk very far, much less carry a bag of trash to the dumpster which is about one hundred yards away. Yesterday my wife and I were returning to our beautiful Hutchinson Island. As we crossed the causeway over the Indian River, we noticed a young lady with a sign promoting a lunch special at Subway. If you are from this neck of the woods, seeing hawkers with signs on the sidewalk is not an uncommon sight. However, this girl was over the top. Instead of just standing there with her sign and looking pretty, she was tossing the sign in the air, catching it behind her back, twirling it, doing just about anything to get our attention. We advertise. We put out signs. We hang balloons. We bake cookies. We invite our fellow realtors. And no one comes to our party! Now, I will be the first to tell you that I am NOT sure how this is going to work because I have just changed my listing. However, if it does work, you gotta love the upside!
