Exactly 10 years ago today, I became a licensed Real Estate Agent!When I got my license, I was clueless about the amount of work required to make this a successful career. I had made a quick decision to "just do it", signed up for the classes and did it. I really thought it would make me rich, boy was I delusional! Not only were the classes expensive, once I got my license I had to pay to join NAR, OAR, The Licking County Board, The Columbus Board, had to buy business cards, get my picture taken, pay office dues and when (12 comments)

Multiple Offer SituationsThe Real Estate Market is slow and values are down. I think most would say that this is a Buyer's Market. As a buyer, you might feel powerful and think you hold all the cards. But the truth is, we are seeing a lot of competition among buyers which results in Multiple Offer Situations.In my 10 years as a real estate agent, I've seen MANY bank owned foreclosure or REO (Real Estate Owned) properties come on the market at such a competitive price that there were several buyers hoping to be THE buyer. As a buyer's agent in Licking County, I've met with many different buyers. Some have a loan pre-approval in hand, some have the ability to pay cash and some have decided to wait until they find a house to get pre-approved.It's a good idea to get pre-approved for a couple of reasons. The first reason is so that you'll know what priced homes you should be viewing.
