St Marys, GA is getting a new elementary school in the downtown area of the city. The school is due to open in the fall or winter of 2009. The school is a much needed addition the area and will house a large number of students to accomodate the current and future growth of the area. St. Marys Elementary School Mr. Thomas McClendon, Principal St. Marys Elementary School first begun in 1801 as St. Marys School in the basement of the Presbyterian Church.
