veteran: Flag Retirement Ceremony on Flag Day in Enterprise, Alabama - 06/14/14 10:55 AM
As they have twice a year for each of the last five years,
Sam Boswell Honda held their Flag Retirement Ceremony today.

As Senior Vice Commander of V.F.W. Post 6683, I was privileged to be the Master of Ceremony today and the Post was in charge of coordinating the event. Also participating were the American Legion Post 73 (I'm Judge Advocate in it), DAV Chapter 9, CAMV 28-3, Patriot Riders Motorcycle Club, Boy Scout Troop 150, Cub Scout Pack 77, and Girl Scout Troop 9241.

veteran: Memorial Day Weekend in Enterprise, AL-VFW Buddy Poppy - 05/25/14 12:24 PM

Saturday morning in Enterprise, Alabama, the V.F.W. Post 6683 set up shop at the Tractor Supply Company in one of our Buddy Poppy Fund Raisers. Donations are accepted and used to help local Veterans in need - financially and otherwise. We also sold sausages and other food items - yummmmmm!

BUDDY POPPY The VFW conducted its first poppy distribution before Memorial Day in 1922, becoming the first veterans' organization to organize a nationwide distribution. The poppy soon was adopted as the official memorial flower of the Veterans of Foreign Wars of the United States.
