Women are invited to receive free screenings regarding sleep apnea, cholesterol, blood pressure, body mass index, as well as a heart screening, bone density test, lipid panel and a mammogram. The excitement is already mounting at our local Wal-Mart. My soon-to-be first grader wandered through the backpack aisle with eyes gleaming at the site of the clean and colorful backpacks.
As a family that doesn't have a problem providing basic necessities for our kids, it really troubled me that there are kids that won't be going to school with a new backpack and school supplies that will help them be prepared for school.

The local favorite with the seemingly inappropriate name is set to open in Flower Mound!
If you haven't experienced Fuzzy's Taco Shop, you are missing out. It's a place I would classify as a joint. Rustic interior with metal walls, local advertising all over and a place where everyone knows you and is still glad to see you.
And then there's the food. Breakfast tacos are my personal favorites and for $1.99 each, you can't get a better deal or heartier breakfast. Fresh ingredients and cooked to order gets my vote over a bowl of cereal.

As a kid, I have fond memories of Baskin-Robbins. At least once a month after Sunday night BBQ's, my family and I would drive to "31 Flavors" and enjoy our favorite ice cream flavors.
This tradition continues but it's definitely this Wednesday when I plan on taking my kids to get 31 cent scoops at Baskin-Robbins. The company is donating $100,000 to the National Fallen Firefighters Foundation (NFFF) in remembrance of those who have died while serving their community in uniform.

It's the time of year where school is quickly coming to an end and it's time to start focusing on what you're going to do with your munchkins during summer break.
