Charitable Contributions Up?
 
 One of the effects of a slower economy can be seen in the reduction in contributions to charities and non-profit organizations. People feel that they must help themselves before they can help their fellow man. This may be open for debate in the reasoning but the fact remains contributions are lower when the economy is not as robust.
 
I have a volunteer position as treasurer for an area that had experienced a reduction in contributions. It wasn't a large shortfall but it was noticed when compared to our budget numbers last year. This year the … (2 comments)
