downtown san diego quiet zone: What's new in Downtown San Diego?

One of the biggest issues that we have in downtown San Diego is "The Quiet Zone". After many years of fighting with Train Horns the city's "Quiet Zone" should finally be completed by the end of March, 2012. All of the new gates, signal lights, medians and traffic signals should be completed by Febraury and tested in March. For all of us who love living and visiting Downtown San Diego this will be a great relief. I moved to San Diego in 2005 and this had already been a big issue prior.
