Zillow Buyers Agent by Area Code

When I signed up for Zillow premier agent a month ago, it was a much better deal to buy a zip code, then just be a premier agent. By getting listed as one of a few buyers agents in a certain area code, you also became a premeir agent. Zillow added a "3rd spot" to each area code this week. I picked up 3 more zip codes that are my main area of business (Fishers and Carmel). It is not cheap, but I'm excited to see what kind of leads I can generate over the 6 month commmitment period. I figure one closed deal pays for it all, and anything more is money ahead. I really do think Zillow is going to be the premier search engine for buyers going forward. The MLS systems are always going to be there, and much better for agents, however I believe Zillow is going to be takin over where most buyers search for homes in the years to come. Florida Real Estate License

Getting my Florida real estate license is something I have wanted to do for a long time. Ever since my grandfather purchased property on Longboat Key and we vacationed there every single year, I have loved Florida and specifically Florida Real Estate. Fishers and Central Indiana will always be where I run my business and practice real estate, but it will be nice to finally be licensed in Florida. Hopefully I can help some family, friends, clients, and myself purchase real estate in Florida in the years to come, as well as running my full service business in Fishers. Luckily Indiana is one of the 8 states that has reciprocal licenses with Florida so getting licensed there has not been to difficult. After paying some fees and doing some paperwork, all that is left is to pass the Florida law portion of their exam. If you have any family or friends looking to buy on the Central West Coast of Florida, be sure to let me know!

So far this year has been the best for sales and activity since 2005. The only other time our team has had this much activity in the past 6-7 years was the two months prior to the end of the government tax credit in 2010. This seems to be more genuine activity, not forced by a special program. Prices seem to have finally come down far enough, combined with more buyer confidence in the economy, and continued low interest rates that have real estate moving again. I have had several deals this year than involved multiple offers on both listings and buyer purchases. Their finally seems to be much more of a sense of urgency. The past 5-6 years buyers have always felt they were in total control and could wait as long as they wanted. Things seem to be common back to a much more balanced and healthy real estate market, which is good for everyone. Lets just hope it continues and we do not have a double dip recession.
