The new Veterans Memorial Bridge, which replaced the old Brightman Street Bridge, is open and I think it is great, but how do you get to Fall River? It takes only minutes to get from President Avenue to the Home Depot in Somerset. Coming back from Somerset is a breeze also. Less stop and go, and just smooth sailing. BUT……, I can’t figure out the signage. When traveling from Fall River to Somerset there are four or five signs directing you to Somerset and letting you know what town you are in on (3 comments)

The 2011-12 school year has been back in session for a few weeks now and two local communities are witnessing a similar problem. fall river: Fall River Neighborhood Associations are good for neighborhoods and home owners too!!
- 06/17/11 09:13 AM
Fall River Neighborhood Associations are good for neighborhoods and home owners too. My wife and I have owned our home in the Fall River Highlands for close to 33 years. We raised our three sons here and have become very attached to the neighborhood. I joined the Highland Neighborhood Association to become more active in protecting those things which make the neighborhood what it is. Over the years the association has given a voice to issues involving zoning variances, traffic, safety, litter, and street and sidewalk repair to name a few. The association gets the attention of elected officials since it's (0 comments)
Buying & selling a home is so much more than looking at pictures on line or putting a sign on your lawn. Selecting the right property involves evaluating ones needs, preferences and budget along with navigating the potentially confusing worlds of financing, inspections and negotiations, to name a few. Likewise, when selling, preparing your property inside and out, finding qualified buyers, negotiating price and conditions of the sale, along with hundreds of seemingly insignificant obstacles which can prevent a closing from taking place, is also a challenge. A great Realtor can help you with all these.
Spanning over 20 years, my professional career in sales and sales management has given me the opportunity to work with all types of professionals, from CPA’s, bankers and lawyers, to architects, builders, and vendors, to city and state regulators, to name just a few. These experiences help me better serve my buyer and seller clients, and has taught me that the key to any successful venture, whether buying or selling, is to anticipate all those things which need to be accomplished, prepare properly and execute a plan.
In addition to the technical aspects of real estate transactions, the next most important service I can provide my buyers and sellers in the Greater Fall River Market is information. As a 4th generation native of the South Coast I know and love the area. My great grandfather, an immigrant mill worker, built his first home in Fall River in the early 1900’s. I have owned my home in Fall River for over 30 years and my wife and I raised our three sons here. Over the years I have been active in the public schools, PTO’s and parent organizations, church, community and neighborhood organizations. My connections to, or roots in, many local neighborhoods provide me with a wealth of information to share with clients. A local history buff and fan of open spaces, I have walked hundreds of miles in local woods, and kayaked or canoed on rivers and tributaries from Westport to Dighton and Swansea, and most in between. The areas salt water beaches and ponds are the jewels of the South Coast. Ethnic, religious and art festivals abound throughout the warm seasons, and the culture of the area is evident in some of the best restaurants in the country. I have experienced the whole area, and use this experience to assist and motivate buyers to find their perfect new home or investment and in turn help sellers accomplish their goals.
My professional and personal experiences along with the expertise of my colleagues at SB&A Realty Group make for a dynamic resource for all your Real Estate needs.
