kings deer: Top Producer Emailing and Spam Filter Question? - 02/20/08 05:31 AM
I have an issue!  Anyone have an answer?
I want to use my TopProducer for emailing, but being that so many realtors use TopProducer many of the emails get caught in spam filters.  Therefore, it becomes almost meaningless to utilize the email feature with many of the contacts in my database.
I have tried and am trying to route emails through my individual POP3 account through my domain host.  At this time I have not switched over to allow TopProducer to host (which I think could solve the problem), because of the downtime in transferring the domain.
Anyhow, does anyone have a solution?

kings deer: Help Fight Breast Cancer with a Click of the Mouse (literally)... - 10/12/07 03:39 AM
Now that AR seems to have gone pink I am reposting this... Takes literally ten seconds to help breast cancer.Joyce
The Breast Cancer site is having trouble getting enough people to click on their site daily to meet their quota of donating at least one free mammogram a day to an underprivileged woman. It takes less than a minute to go to their site and click on "donating a mammogram" for free (pink window in the middle). This doesn't cost you a thing. Their corporate sponsors/advertisers use the number of daily visits to donate mammogram in exchange for advertising. Here's the web site! Pass it along to … (20 comments)

kings deer: What are your "Seven Wonders of the World"? - 09/21/07 09:43 AM
A group of students were asked by their teacher to list what they thought were the present "Seven Wonders of the World."  Though there were a few disagreements, the following received the most votes:
-Egypt's Great Pyramids -The Taj Mahal -The Grand Canyon -The Panama Canal -The Empire State Building -St. Peter's Basilica -China's Great Wall
While gathering the votes, the teacher noted that one student had not finished and turned in her answers.  So she asked the girl if she was having trouble with her list.  The little girl replied, "Yes, a little.  I could not quite make up … (17 comments)

kings deer: Ice Cream for the Soul... - 08/10/07 02:56 AM
A friend of my mother's sent this to me this morning...Not only do we need to teach our kids, but we need to learn from our kids as well!
Last week, I took my children to a restaurant.    My six-year-old son asked if he could say grace. As we bowed our heads he said, "God is good, God is great. Thank you for the food, and I would even thank you more if Mom gets us ice cream for dessert. And Liberty and justice for all! Amen!" Along with the laughter from the other customers nearby, I heard a woman remark, "That's … (15 comments)

kings deer: Dear Abby... (Funny) - 06/25/07 04:18 AM
Dear Abby,I've never written to you before, but I really need your advice.I have suspected for some time now that my wife has been cheating on me.The usual signs; phone rings but if I answer, the caller hangs up. My wife has been going out with "the girls" a lot recently although when I ask their names she always says, "Just some friends from work, you don't know them."I always try to stay awake to look out for her coming home, but I usually fall asleep.Anyway, I have never approached the subject with my wife. I think deep down I just didn't want to know … (23 comments)

kings deer: Red Marbles... - 06/25/07 03:19 AM
RED MARBLESI was at the corner grocery store buying some early potatoes. I noticed a small boy, delicate of bone and feature, ragged but clean, hungrily apprising a basket of freshly picked green peas. I paid for my potatoes but was also drawn to the display of fresh green peas. I am a pushover for creamed peas and new potatoes. Pondering the peas, I couldn't help overhearing the conversation between Mr. Miller (the store owner) and the ragged boy next to me."Hello Barry, how are you today?""H'lo, Mr. Miller. Fine, thank ya. Jus' admirin' them peas. They sure look good.""They are … (3 comments)

kings deer: Calculate Your Refrigerator Energy Savings... - 06/11/07 09:10 AM
Well I read an article in the Los Angeles Times and came across a small article on energy efficient refrigerators.
They spoke of a site www.energystar.gov that is part of the federal Energy Star program.
Specifically the article spoke about what is called the "Refrigerator Retirement Savings Calculator, developed by the U.S. Department of Energy.  This calculator can be found at www.energystar.gov/refrigerators .
Simply input your kilowatt-hour rate and model number of your refrigerator for the most accurate energy savings computation.
I enjoy sharing ways to save energy in the home.  Sometime soon I hope to put together something that addresses … (3 comments)

kings deer: Maya on Oprah... - 06/09/07 07:57 AM

In April, Maya Angelou was interviewed by Oprah on her 70+ birthday. Oprah asked her what she thought of growing older. And, there on television, she said it was "exciting." Regarding body changes, she said there were many, occurring every day...like her breasts. They seem to be in a race to see which will reach her waist, first. The audience laughed so hard they cried. She is such a simple and honest woman, with so much wisdom in her words! Maya Angelou said this: "I've learned that no matter what happens, or how bad it seems today, life does go on, and it will be better … (6 comments)

kings deer: Old Age is Like a Bank Account... - 06/08/07 04:40 PM
A 92-year-old, petite, well-poised and proud man, who is fully dressed each morning by eight o'clock, with his hair fashionably coifed and shaved perfectly, even though he is legally blind, moved to a nursing home today. His wife of 70 years recently passed away, making the move necessary. After many hours of waiting patiently in the lobby of the nursing home, he smiled sweetly when told his room was ready. As he maneuvered his walker to the elevator, I provided a visual description of his tiny room, including the eyelet sheets that had been hung on his window. "I love it," … (8 comments)
