apex nc real estate: Villages of Apex - Live, Work, & Play in the NC's Community of the Year - 10/10/08 10:12 AM
Earlier this year, in March, I attended the Grand Opening of the Villages of Apex.  Other than the townhomes there really wasn't a whole lot to see.  The custom home section had yet to get started and the project was just getting underway.  The neighborhood has really progressed since then and it is shaping up to be one of the most charming neighborhoods in Apex.  As a result, this planned community received a well deserved award as the 2008 North Carolina Homebuilders Association Parade of Homes Community of the Year.
The Villages of Apex won first place in the following categories:

I recently sponsored Apex, NC with Localism.com.  As a part of my sponsorship I think it's important to provide a few distinct elements for the community:
Area profile Why should you choose Apex, NC for your next home? A look at what's currently going on in the real estate market in that area. I've taken care of the 1st two items so now it's time to take a look at the real estate market in Apex.

apex nc real estate: Salem Street Arts Festival October 4th in Apex - 08/14/08 05:41 AM
Earlier today I wrote about why you should consider Apex for your next home.  There are a number of reasons why so many are relocating to the Triangle area and Apex in particular.  The downtown area has been revitalized and there are so many community events available to the families in the area.  That said, the Apex Art Council (AAC) has done some great planning to beef up the cultural aspects of the town.
With that in mind, the council is sponsoring the 2nd Annual Salem Street Arts Festival on October 4th from 9am until 4pm.  There is so much to see … (2 comments)

apex nc real estate: Why should your family choose Apex, NC for your next home? - 08/14/08 02:42 AM
If you like the idea of living in a town with less stress and a "small town" atmosphere then you should consider Apex for your next home.  While the community is much like it was long ago it has now blossomed into a fantastic town with great local shopping, new residential areas surrounding the town, and direct access to major employment in the region.
So, where did the name Apex come from?  The name "Apex" was adopted because the community was the highest point on the Chatham Railroad between Richmond, Virginia and Jacksonville, Florida. The Apex town motto, "Peak of Good … (9 comments)

apex nc real estate: Don't miss Holly Hill Day Lily Farm in Moncure, NC - 05/30/08 12:18 PM
In January I wrote about moving across town in, "Tracy Santrock's Moved On & Checking In w/Activerain".  Our new neighborhood and neighbors are warm and inviting.  They've really made the transition an easy one.  I was asked today by another agent in my office, "Are you happy about your move to Glenkirk? What do you like about Glenkirk?"  and I replied, "There isn't one thing I regret - the location, quality of home, neighborhood amenities, and the neighbors are all a big plus.
So, it can't be perfect.  What would be the ONE thing you would change?  Well everyone, I spent … (11 comments)

apex nc real estate: Villages of Apex Grand Opening- The Best of Apex NC Real Estate - 03/12/08 03:02 PM
What a beautiful day today and a great way to spend my afternoon with a Grand Opening Event at The Villages of Apex.  I must admit I was very impressed with the entire presentation today for Realtors.  I had quite a busy day with a client in the morning, the luncheon at mid-day, and a required Ethics class in the afternoon.  Vicky Fernehough, my favorite teacher, taught the classs and she makes any class a ball including a mandatory Continuing Education class like Ethics.
Back to the reason for my blog - The Villages of Apex.   I wrote about the announcement of this exciting project … (6 comments)

apex nc real estate: Have a dog with special needs? Visit Town & Country in Apex, NC - 12/14/07 04:15 AM
On your left is a photo of my dog Maggie.  I call her my "Goofie Girl".  She has allergies and a fettish for shoes, pants, underwear, and "people food".   Regardless of the challenges posed by Maggie, she adores us and we adore her - at least most of the time.
I thought I have a ton of energy but Maggie has even more.  That is why Maggie's vet told us about Town & Country in Apex.  Town & Country's website talks about the services they provide for dogs that have special needs.  That's my dog.
