Hear it? There — the faint creaking of the aging Citrus Bowl.The 76-year-old stadium is slated for a $175 million facelift as part of a 2007 downtown venues plan. But the economic downturn, and deference to construction of the Dr. Phillips Center for the Performing Arts, postponed the makeover. Last year, we agreed with Orange County Mayor Teresa Jacobs that costly makeovers must wait for another time.
