Annexation to double the size of Kingsland By Ashley Smith Kingsland Mayor Kenneth Smith announced Friday that the city will soon more than double in size and become the seventh largest city in Georgia after 15,000 acres of land, to be used for residential, industrial and commercial purposes, is annexed into the city.The land, which is located west of Interstate 95, near Highway 17 and Highway 40, was purchased by Charlotte, N.C., based company Crescent Resources LLC, the parent company of Jacksonville-based developer LandMar.
