Some Members of the Military are still Eligible for the Home Buyer Tax Credit The Home Buyers Tax Credit that expired on April 30, 2010 is still available for some members of the military, foreign services and intelligence community. Due to the unique travel requirements of these lines of work, Congress has extended the deadline. For those that qualify a purchase contract must be signed by April 30, 2011 and the sale must close by June 30, 2011. The extension applies to home buyers that meet the following criteria: 1. Holiday House in La Vista If you drive down Giles St and look to the North at about 103rd St. you will see that someone got carried away with the holiday spirit. You can't miss this home in the Val Vista subdivision in La Vista, NE. I've excluded the address out of respect for the owner's privacy, although I don't think being discrete is a concern of theirs.
