agent: Russian Spies on Active Rain! - 06/29/10 02:01 PM
No Kidding!
I just read a story about several people busted for "allegedly" being Russian Spies, and several of them are in real estate!
One of them Ann Foley with Redfin has her own Active Rain Account.
According to news reports...
She was well liked and friendly!
Another suspected spy Anna Chapman is quite a hotty, she is reportedly the owner of a real estate website worth $2,000,000, I checked out her facebook page... not to look at the reportedly hot photos... really! and found she is connected to a real estate web site there.
That may not be the one, … (5 comments)

agent: Real Estate Contracts, or an Old-Fashioned Handshake? - 08/09/09 07:52 AM
I didn't ask them to sign the exclusive before I left town!
Wow! What a busy week, I've been helping some of the new transfers to the Fairfax Assembly plant in the Fairfax District of Kansas City find homes. Many of them have homes back in Ohio or Tennessee that they still have to sell, many of them are looking to rent until that happens.
One couple from Ohio called me a few weeks ago looking for some property where they can keep a horse. As a horse lover myself, this is something I definitely understand. As we worked on finding … (0 comments)

agent: Online Real Estate Schools - 04/13/09 11:26 AM
I was never a fan of the online real estate classes, until recently when one of my staff completed some courses online and passed her test with flying colors. I was of the old school, I had been attending brick and mortar schools for real estate training since the 1980's.
I guess I'm slow to accept change. I was curious so I did a little looking into one school in particular. Since my new agent had done so well there.

Offers great classes and reasonable fees for the beginner or the seasoned agent, to get continuing education. They even offer … (1 comments)

agent: Template real estate web sites, netreal.net sucketh!, I need a new provider! - 07/24/08 04:58 AM
I posted a blog last week about how netreal.net has no customer service, refuses to respond to requests or trouble tickets and keeps crashing. It was amazing how many responses I got from other people who are stuck with them too. My site just crashed again, I am desperate to move my site.
I'm planning to move my site to www.agent.point2.com ; does anyone have any suggestions or comments good or bad about www.agent.point2.com or any other real estate website provider?
I use a service called www.freewebmonitoring.com They send me updates every time my system goes down. I wish I had saved … (1 comments)

agent: Guns,Politics and Real Estate - 02/09/08 07:17 PM
OK this has nothing to do with real estate but I just thought this graph was fascinating! Well actually it does, most agents I know pack because showing vacant homes is dangerous.

This Graph clearly shows how violent crime increased in the UK as legal gun ownership decreased. Currently violent crime is out of control in the UK and it shows no signs of slowing down.
Historically a disarmed people are always at greater risk of crime.
Don't let it happen here! God Bless America, and the second amendment!
