Many times I have awoken to the sweet sounds of Eddie Arnolds "Cattle Call" being summoned to a great breakfast before a day on the trail. Back before our company took off we had time to take vacations with our horses. We often went to Southern Missouri to ride and camp at The Big Piney. We would make camp and spend a all day riding our horses through the river and the beautiful wooded acreage surrounding the campsite. I got an email today from some SEO promoter telling me I had no ranking under the search term "Kansas City Real Estate" Seems this guy Gabe figures I'm willing to pay for ranking by that term. So the question is; am I willing to pay someone who sent me an email for his efforts to improve my SEO score with a particular keyword? NO! Yes that's you! Most agents see you as a big target with a bullseye on your bank account. I've actually seen posts and blogs with the key words targeted at "California investors". I see you as something more, a client. Hokey yes but read on. As a property manager I want a long term relationship, as a real estate broker I want a long term relationship. I want you to make money, not just buy something, get my commission and kiss you goodbye. I just have to rant a bit! I know I may sound condescending but you have no idea the frustration! this falls under do what you do and do it well. Residential agents should stick to selling pretty kitchens to soccer moms and leave the other stuff to professionals who know what they are doing. Don't get me wrong; residential agents are great at what they do, but when it comes to investments stay home. Nearly everyday I hear from another West Coast investor. Seems the market is flooded with buyers from the West Coast. Many are looking now at the massive number of foreclosures on the market.
