St. Tammany will experience a hard freeze tonight as temperatures will reach as low at 17 degrees. The cold weather is expected to stick around until Wednesday, so it's essential that pets are brought inside and plants are covered.

The areas eligible for Rural Development (RD) loans will change as of Jan. 1, 2014. This means that the loan must close on or before Dec. 31, 2013. In the new eligibility maps Mandeville and Slidell are no longer eligible for RD loans.

Data. . . That is what I have followed for years now, 17 years to be exact in this sometimes crazy world of selling homes. April was a record month for consumers finalizing contracts. Home sales for Mandeville and Covington real estate are no different. We have seen the St. Tammany real estate market increase at a record pace.
When more people begin to buy homes the mortgage rates go up and they have done just that... gone up. Don't get me wrong they are still amazingly low at around 4% fixed rate. This is however the highest interest rates have been in months.
